Medelco 12 Cup Glass Eurostyle Universal Replacement Carafe - White

Purchased based on Amazon search for replacement carafe for my Krups Pro Aroma 313 coffee maker. From picture it looked correct and it was offered in combination with Krups 594-00 charcoal water filters which are unique to the Pro Aroma series coffee makers. One would assume that two items grouped together would be correct for the same application. The "Medelco 12 Cup" carafe received consisted of a carafe with a fixed lid with a hole in the center and two adapters labeled "10 Cup" and "12 Cup". The adapters had center pieces at different heights to actuate the "Pause and Serve" valve of the coffee maker they would be used on. These center pieces were supported by four "stilts" to set the height needed to initiate the Pause and Serve feature. I installed the correct 12 cup adapter and ran two 12 cup charges of plain water through my coffee maker. When I withdrew the second full pot I saw that two of the four stilts had broken which meant the lid would no longer actuate the Pause and Serve valve. Further use would result in the coffee maker overflowing causing a mess and possibly an electrical hazzard because water would have leaked into the base of the coffee maker. I see Amazon lists a 10 cup version for $1.00 less that my 12 cup version but I think it's the same thing with both adapters. At $8.78 it's not worth returning, but it is an inexpensive lesson learned.

Does the job every time. My only criticism is the piece that sticks up at the center of the lid which guides the drip happens to be a little high with my Krups coffee maker so it takes a little extra maneuvering to slide the pot into place, but otherwise, it works as it should. I like the addition of the numbers as it refers to the appropriate # of cups (eg., 1-3) that you can expect from the yield, too. Seems to be durable, so far, as it's been about 6 months and still going strong.

For some reason I mixed up our coffee maker and bought one that doesn't fit, but we sure made it fit. Haha! We've been fighting our coffee maker's carafe for forever and we were just sick of it. We had duct taped the outside of it and it was just disgusting looking. We were a bit nervous when this came in a box with a black carafe on the outside because that would look pretty silly with our white coffeemaker, but it was white. :) It's too tall but this is a million bajillion (I know that's not a number) times better than our old carafe and we are thankful for this little sucker every day. I bought it to buy us time to find a new coffeemaker that we love, but we don't even want to buy a new one anymore! :) It seems pretty durable, which is a very good thing when I'm around. :)

I was thrilled to find this carafe that fits my Delonghi - twentyfourseven coffee maker (which has a feature to interrupt the flow of coffee while it is making). The carafe I had previously broke, and the coffee maker still works great. This saved me buying another coffee maker. The reason for the 4 stars is that I noticed that the handle looks to be glued on, so don't know how long it will last. I'll not be pouring coffee unless over a safe surface. In the meantime, I'm so glad to be able to use my coffee maker!

Thanks to incompetent packers, the carafe in my coffeemaker got shattered when I moved house. So I go looking on Amazon for something comparable.I know the general liter-size of my carafe, but what I need has that funny shape on the bottom, with the step running aroun an inch or so in from the edge. None of the descriptions mention that feature, but on this particular one you can see it in the photo. So I crossed my fingers hoping it would fit, and clicked BUY.When it arrived it fit perfectly. And had it been not quite the right fit, it even came with a gap-filler adjustment piece that we could add if needed.Definitely recommend this product, in the absence of any clear info about what models fit what carafes!

Printed on the lid of this pot are the words 'DO NOT USED ON STOVE TOP.' This is not in the description.We wanted a hot pot for use on the stove. We are not obeying the note. So far, it is working fine. It is much better than a previous pot that had a plastic handle built too close to the stove that sometimes melted.Apparently we will not be able to find an old-fashioned glass hot pot.

I dropped my original pot and cracked it. The description of this product made me think it would fit, especially since I measured my coffeepot and used that along with the number of cups to compare. This pot is way too tall and would not fit my drip coffeemaker. I am thinking of buying a 10 cup next time and maybe that will fit.

Krups-made replacement carafes are very difficult to find and VERY expensive to purchase when you do. This Eurostyle Universal Replacement Carafe fits great and is very thrifty. I bought 2 in case I dropped one. The glass is a little thinner than the original so I wouldn't expect it to bounce. All in all, the was a very satisfactory replacement for making that all important fluid -- coffee.
