Manfrotto 032SPL Spirit Level for Aligning Auto Poles (#032SPL)

Larger than I thought it would be. Very well made and built to last. It's 3.5 inches long and 1.9" wide. Has a thick (.26") rubber strap with .45" balls that grip perfectly. Works great as long as there's a vertical tube or pole to mount it to. The smallest diameter vertical tube that this would fit is .982". Any smaller than that, the rubber strap will not be able to grip the tube. But I'm sure you could tape it on or rubber band it on too.

I had looked high and low for a way to add a level to an entry level Bogen tripod. There are many options if you want to buy a level for attaching to the hotshoe of a camera, but I wanted one to attach to the tripod so that I could level the tripod for video work.This solution is great! It just attaches to a center post via a large rubber strap. You can even leave it attached if you don't mind not lowering the center post all the way.You don't have to have a Bogen tripod to use this. It should fit any tripod. Even if your center post is too small for the rubber strap to grip, you could easily come up with a make-shift way of holding it.But I have to say, get them while you can. Some vendors no longer have them and I couldn't find them on the Mandrotto web site. Apparently they are no longer produced. I bought two!

Does the job.

This is a great solution to putting a level on a tripod that does not have one. I ordered this and found that for my tripod, it cannot be left installed because it's too big to clear the legs when the tripod is folded up. That's a little frustrating because it's a lot bigger than it really needs to be and would work if the attachment approach was a little more well thought out.Notwithstanding the basic engineering, it does work, is easy to use, and appears sturdy enough to last a good while. If you don't mind putting it on and removing it when you deploy your tripod, you will probably give this a 5-star rating when you review it!

This thing is an absolute Game Changer!! I have several nice tripod. While they do all have bubble/spirit levels on them AND even the camera has levels in it... BUT if you dont have the TRIPOD level, then any form of long exposure tracking (like with a Star Adventurer 2i) will be slightly off axis once you go thru polar alignment. The TRIPOD spirit levels are hard to see when the tripod is setup, not to mention you cant get a head-on view of it when the tracker is mounted. Problem is solved with this thing mounted to the center shaft of the tripod! Strap it on check everything. Rotate it 90degress check again. Once everything is level and firm, then do the polar alignment and get shooting!

Put on the center column of my tripod. Works great for a quick level. Fits even with the tripod collapsed so can leave it on unless I want to fully extend the center column.5/10/13- was at my daughter's recital to record video. Getting up a tripod level on a slanted floor among slanted seats is not something I have managed well in the past. This was PERFECT. I have a ball head on my tripod as I primarily do photos. Use the center column to pan, so being able to level the tripod, then use a hot shoe level to level the camera made for much better video.

At the price, I was skeptical. And it is supposedly too big for what I wanted. But I ordered anyway to see if I could make it fix my problem. My problem was this: my tripod has no level on the legs. Leveling the head is useless if the legs aren't level, especially for panoramas. So I contacted Manfrotto on their website and found out this was only supposed to work on 1" to 3" poles. My tripod center pole was under an inch. But, being desperate, I ordered one.The item is "L" shaped, with a stretchy rubber strap that wraps around the pole and snaps into the other side. On a pole large enough, this is absolutely perfect. But my tripod center pole was too small. So I removed the rubber strap, and cut a piece of UHMW (plastic) to go across the back, then drilled holes to match. Add a pair of bolts with wing nuts, and it is now a perfect fit.Here's the best part though: this thing, for the price, looks to be amazingly accurate. I leveled the tripod, then loosened the level and rotated it north, south, east, west, and the level indicated the legs to be dead on level.So, creativity wins out again. But the product was the real star - if it wasn't accurate to start with, it wouldn't have been with the effort.

Attaches to my MeFoto Roadtrip Tripod securely. I have used it once already to take a panorama on a mountain, and it did its job very well.Easy to take on and off and build quality for such a cheap product is spot on.

Für den Aufbau von Autopoles nicht essenziell aber für den Preis sehr hilfreiches und praktisches Tool, gerade wenn man mehrere Autopoles aufbauen möchte (Nicht nur für Rigger und Beleuchter, sondern auch im Ladenbau). Hält gut und sicher an verschiedenen Rohrdurchmessern. Libelle kann leider nicht horizontal verwendet werden, eine zweite lineare Libelle für diesen Zweck wäre hervorragend. Habe meine mit einer kleinen Libelle und zwei Tropfen Sekundenkleber nachgerüstet.

Pratique c'est un niveau a bulle pas grand chose à dire sur son fonctionnement si ce n'est que son système d'attache fonctionne bien

If you own an autopole then you might struggle a lot if you fit the pol in a straight position.Befor it was wasting lots of my time to fit my autopole in complet straight position i was using laser light to help me.But now Autopole leveling slider make it very easy.I think its must have itam if you use auopole

Another solid product from Manfrotto. My tripod did not come with a level, and this adjustable level fits the bill perfect for my needs.
