Dogs love it.
As of this review the toy is still intact & in good condition after one month of play.I got the turtle "egg-baby" with five eggs for my dog that loves pulling stuffing out of his toys. He doesn't actively pull the eggs out but he loves chewing on this and shaking it around. This has become one of his favorite toys since it came in. My parent's dog visits and he also loves this toy, he actively pulls the eggs out and seems to really enjoy chewing on the eggs once they are out.The product itself is colorful and easy to find in our house, but if it gets taken outside it can get lost in the grass since it is mostly green. The flippers do not have stuffing and the opening for the eggs seems to be well made and secure. The head does have stuffing, but so far it has not torn open. The eggs are still intact and are somewhat more difficult to squeak than other squeaking toys. When my dog chews on the toy, he chews in the opening, so that his bottom jaw is inside the opening and his upper jaw outside, it has held up very well so far and has no popped stitches or unraveling fabric. My dog is not a power chewer, but enjoys ripping apart toys. To give you a guideline to hopefully help you determine how tough this toy is: he hasn't damaged the AKC large squirrel or AKC small mallard but routinely destroys PetCo brand stuffed toys of all types, he uses a red Kong. My parents dog is a puppy still but seems to be growing into a power chewer, he has ripped the stuffing out of the AKC buffalo (and all other stuffed toys) put some small damage into a red Kong, and severely frayed a fire hose toy. With this toy he was more interested in pulling the eggs out and playing with the eggs once they were out. The eggs stood up to him for the full time he was here (4 days), other than being dirty they appear undamaged. To summarize, this toy appears to be well made and my dog enjoys it very much. I got this toy for 7.77USD, and at that price I recommend it.

... a similar turtle several years ago and being completely satisfied with it
Having purchased a similar turtle several years ago and being completely satisfied with it, I found this one to be very small, cheaply made, and the opening for the eggs is too small for a person much less a dog to easily remove the eggs. Sent the item back.

Great toy for puppies!
My puppy goes INSANE when I squeak the eggs. She races back and forth like she just drank a two liter of mountain dew. I'm not sure if she has really grasped the idea that the eggs can all be pulled out of the dino. I don't know if she just doesn't care once she has one out, or what. I know she's smart enough to do it because she has the hide a squirrel toy and always gets the toys out. I only gave this toy four stars because one of the eggs has already come unstitched after very minimal play time. It was easily sewn back together, but I'm not sure that the eggs are very durable. If you have a destructive dog this may not be the best toy. My puppy has little sharp teeth and hasn't destroyed it yet. Those eggs are her favorite thing to run around with, and I wish I had a video of her speeding back and forth with them.

Love Kyjen dog toys -and so does my dog! Great for strong prey drive!
I purchased the Kyjen stuffed platypus (not the cutest of the bunch but I have a "thing" for the platypus because of an inside family joke) for my then 16 month old rottweiler mix. (rott - boxer, I think) She has an incredibly strong prey drive, loves to play, of course, and is not food driven at all. I think the platypus was probably the first Kyjen toy I bought for her, and we've never looked back! She, to this day, absolutely LOVES her platypus. I try to rotate the Kyjen toys (we've bought many more since, for variety) so she doesn't get sick of them but some she loves more than others - and the platypus is always an instant hit every time I bring it out. Not only does SHE love it, but *I* love that I can throw it down the hallway for her to go fetch, cheer her on as she brings it back, and then let her occupy herself for a few minutes taking out the squeak toys.I live in apartment (and not a large one at that) which means LOTS of walks to burn off energy and not a lot of room to play. She's also "in training" and will be for the rest of her life as she was a rescue with some behavioral issues. I love that I don't need to focus on "training" constantly when we play with the Kyjen toys - unlike the other toys she loves to run after that don't have the same level of intreaction that the Kyjen toys do. In those situations as soon as she returns I'm on the ball, reminding her to drop it and not to growl when she's too excited.I absolutely love Kyjen brand toys, and so does my dog! I should also add that she's NOT a destructive dog when it coems to toys, so I've never had to worry about her in that regard. Might not be great for those kinds of dogs unless you keep a constant eye on them. (There's not a lot of stuffing in these toys but they would proabbly try to rip open the squeaky eggs)One last point before I'm done raving - who heard of a rottweiler who isn't food driven??? I hadn't; until now!

Flimsy, but dog loved it while it lasted.
My 10 lb dog played with this toy for about 45 minutes. He managed to get one of the eggs out of the animal, and then began pulling the stuffing right out of the egg. The fabric covering the egg is so thin, there is no way it will stand up to any dog's chewing. We had the platypus, also sold on amazon, and it took my dog weeks before he was able to work the stuffing out of the "eggs" found in it. We still have 3 or 4 of them floating around the house that are still intact. This toy will not last as long as the last, I suppose.

dog loves, but didn't last
I bought two of these, one for each of my dogs.My dogs absolutely loved them, but within the first week, one of the dinosaurs had been obliterated, and in the end, the dogs love playing with the "eggs" more so than anything else. The dinosaur they are mildly interested in, the dinosaur with the eggs in it the are more interested in, but the eggs themselves have occupied my dogs for hours and hours. In the end, I would save money and just buy the eggs without the dinosaur.

It's great!!
Casey is super smart so it doesn't take him long to pull each egg out of the turtle....he loves it and will sometimes carry it around with an egg or two still in it. We've hidden other toys inside it as well. Almost right away I reinforced the stitching to close off the neck/head by going through the opening in the belly - he was starting to pull out the stuffing. It has held up well now. Fun to watch!!

Hard to get eggs out...there are better toys out there.
I'm unsure how a dog is supposed to remove these eggs from the turtle body. Maybe it's my Boston's short nose, but he's not able to remove them.I bought this because my dog loves the Hide a Squirrel, I thought this would be similar. In my opinion the Hide a Squirrel toy is so much better, if you want a great toy for your dog, buy that one.

Quality was good, only reason that I gave it only 3 stars is that my dog won't play with it. He is small and the balls are fairly large compared to other toys like this (squirrels) that we have purchased for him. My dog is a Bishon and likes little toys.
