good virus protection
my first try with bitdefender. so far i like it for the features it offers. had no problems with install and got it on sale. it does block some sites i know are safe but you can add them to an exclude list and fixes the issues. and it did let me know there may a few phishing ads on those sites that i was not aware of. so good all around protection for me

Best Price Available!
I've used Bitdefender in the past but failed to renew my subscription. After having a local PC technician clean my hard drive of unwanted malware and viruses I decided to try Bitdefender again at the behest of the technician. He thinks it's the best - head & shoulders above the competition.I certainly liked the price and I like the SAFEPAY web browser for all those sensitive credit card and financial transactions. I haven't used the VPN connection much but it seems to work okay.

Yikes a LOT of distracting pop up messages
Install was easy and the user interface is easy to understand. But all of the daily, repeated pop messages are distracting. And there is no way in the software or Windows to disable to reduce the pop ups. No other program is so insistent on notifying me that it's doing it's job. Bitdefender seems to have self-esteem issues, and it wants to constantly remind me that its working.

It works
This software can be annoying. I seems to want you to know everything it's doing. It does this with pop ups that you have to manually close. I only want notices of intrusions.

better than the big players but has a big fault
Bitdefender does seem to protect my computer. It is not as intrusive as Norton or the other big player. However, it must be uninstalled in order to do a computer restore. Since Microsoft continues to try to force unwanted and unneeded updates on me I like to do a restore every so often. Big pain to have to completely remove Bitdefender every time I want to do a restore. Other than that it seems to work well.

Buyer Beware
Activation code on card sent by mail was "invalid." Bitdefender was no help, but Amazon did provide refund.
