Easy to use system
Finally got this out to mount a scope and was very happy with the quick and easy leveling this allowed me to do. Functions well, the scope bubble is easy to read, and it seems to be pretty durable. The magnet is strong enough to keep it in place, as well.

They work
Will work good on ferrous objects, but non ferrous your gonna have to figure something else out.Think about it, if it sticks to your SS barrel or receiver or scope cap then you might want think about the quality or grade of your SS product.Never seen a magnet stick to wood, or composites. So yeah, m a DA too cuz I didn’t think it all the way through myself. They do work as they should.Accuracy they asked? Now lets talk about that, how accurate you expect a bubble level in a plastic housing be. Does it come with TMDE certs, well do da bubble levels you get from the box stores come with TMDE certs? There ya go.How well can you eye ball the bubble between the lines is how accurate your gonna be. Nough said!

Great level kit
Good level, level sticks directly to rail. Very easy to use.

Useful tool for squaring up scope
I can never get a scope mounted squarely by eye alone. Every time I look through the scope the crosshairs don’t seem quite right. I used this kit to square up a scope on my sons 308 and it worked very well.

only works on some rifles, and needs work out of the box
This is a nice pair of spirit vials mounted on cheap nylon bases with embedded magnets. The extended magnetic base was level and true, but the turret level was off about a quarter of a bubble. You can check yours by putting it on a flat surface that's close to level, and spinning it 180 degrees in the exact same spot. It should read exactly the same regardless of the direction it's pointing. Both of the bases showed some rough (100 grit or so) sanding marks from the factory. I spent about 20 minutes with piece of 800 grit sandpaper truing up the turret base, and another 5 smoothing out the extended action base. Expect to do the same for yours, and make sure to sand them on a piece of glass or other truly flat surface. They worked great on a Tikka t3x, but the action base doesn't fit in the action of a Weatherby Vanguard. If I were buying this again, I would get one of the barrel clamp types instead and just level scopes in two steps. It takes an extra 2 minutes, but will work on any firearm instead of one that happens to have a perfectly flat and horizontal action. It would also sit fine on a picatinny rail or scope bases if you used really tall rings. The action base is .388 inches thick on mine.

An important Tool in a Rifleman’s arsenal.
The very same day I received these tools, I walked straight into the bedroom and went to work. I began leveling my work rifle’s scope, then putting the proper torque on the scope ring screws. I then took that same armalite rifle and began to shoot: 3 shot, 1-inch groups at 100 meters with cheap ammunition.Never been able to do that. This wrench HELPS.Outstanding, no telling what this rifle will do with expensive ammunition now.

No, I can't recommend
I'd seen other cheaper levels on the market, but thought the Wheeler ones should be good. Wrong. The levels were way off. Its simple to test. Put both levels close to each other on the same clean and level surface. I have access to a precision granite surface plate, but a hard glass table or machined metal surface would work. Anyway, one bubble showed that it was perfectly centered, the other cantilevered bubble was off by a quarter bubble. I flipped it around 180 deg and then it looked better. Then I realized that the plastic material was just not rigid enough to be accurate. With very little finger pressure it was possible to tweak the cantilevered bubble up or down. It was flexible enough to "adjust" it so that it gave a matching reading. But when you turn it 180 degrees it would give a different reading. If the object was truly level you should get a matched reading regardless if the second bubble was left to right or right to left. So, for giggles, I ordered a cheap set of micro bubbles levels from another company, six pieces for about $9. Lined them up and found they were more consistent that the Wheeler level and read the same if they were left to right or right to left. Of the 6 levels 4 of them were very consistent. Even if I threw two of them away, the cheap ones were more accurate and one sixth the price for a pair. The cheapies don't have the offset or the magnet, but the'll certainly work for leveling a scope. Wheeler, you can do better, I'd pay twice the price if they worked well.
