Good product

2-27-2017: I have only been taking this product for about two weeks, so I do not think sufficient time has passed for me to notice a difference. Since I've just started using this product I cannot compare it to other labels since I have not tried any. One thing I do like is the powder is easily dilutable in liquids and makes the drink mix I put it in easier to stir: powdered gelatin can become very hard very quickly and a scoop of this product thinned the consistency of the paste at the bottom of the mug that I make with hot water before carefully stirring it all in. I don't even notice the flavor of it since I mix it with cocoa. It is supposedly prepared in black bean soup so I think the trace sodium in the product actually enhances the flavor.I will edit this review based upon how I feel over the next few months.

My hair started going platinum white in my early 20s. I keep my hair really long; by my 40s I still had a fringe of dark hair which looked really good overlaying the white when I wore it up in a ponytail (my usual, every day style). But eventually even the border went white. I tried this, after a month the border hair started growing in black again. So now I'm 67, my dark 'frame' is back and even my previously white hair is now 50/50 salt&pepper, altogether a good look on me. I use size '0' gel caps, maintain on 1 cap a week. Any more than that and I start to get a couple of beard-type hairs in front of my ears; definitely NOT a good look on a 67yr old woman lol

Something strange in the flavor that ws not familiar to me. Maybe a different class of fo ti?

When I first opened the package, the smell was horrendous to me. I was going to send it back. But, after a few days the smell was gone. I’m assuming it was a strong unpleasant smell due to the freshness of the product when it was packaged. So, I kept the package and I’m satisfied.

Very good quality, I tried the Samsara line of Herbs when my regular Amazon supplier was out of stock, I am glad I took the chance! Samsara's line of herbs are of a high quality and at a better price point per ounce, I have found the Samsara Reishi to be of a much higher quality then the other I have used for approximately 3 years now.The only thing I am waiting for is Samsara to re-stock the 4 or 8 ounce packets of Fo-Ti(He Shou Wu) so that I may purchase some more, as I use this everyday in My Bullet Proof coffee.
