Great Value and Well Built - KB
This product is far cheaper than any other Murphy bed hardware on the market, and delivers on quality! Since pre-made Murphy beds are exorbitantly priced, my only option was to make my own. With lumber being expensive right now, I did not want to spend another few hundred dollars on hardware alone. This fit my budget and is very sturdy. It glides smoothly and quietly. It is well built. Fair warning, it can get a bit messy when you take it apart to mount on the bed frame—it comes well greased! All the parts arrived quickly and boy are they heavy duty. The box was much heavier than I expected. In a good way! It’s built to last and worth the price. I like that you are able to remove springs depending on the strength you need for your bed. We left all of them in for our queen sized mattress. It still requires a little bit of strength to lift the first foot or so (if you have a thick mattress like we do) but then it easily and smoothly tilts closed. We could not be happier with its performance!I will say the instructions are a bit lacking. We studied the few images well to get a basic understanding, but had to figure out the rest on our own. We are handy, so we made our own build and assembly plans. Just plan on taking LOTS of measurements. It takes some careful thought but is well worth the effort.

Thankfully it works.
The item works fine but the instructions are awful/useless which made installation very difficult for my application.

Solid construction, tricky install
My wife took over one of our spare bedrooms as an office. We wanted to maintain the ability for a guest to stay in this room and free up floor space. This is the first time I attempted to make a Murphy bed. Give me some birch plywood and some time and I can make a lot of things. The bed I made is a double or full, but you can use these for any size bed. A full fit the space well. There are lots of options when it comes to hardware. These hinges have springs to assist with lowering and and closing the bed. The legs are simple and sturdy. As others have said, there aren't directions. I felt confident that I could make them work with my design. I'm happy with the results.

Great Hinges for DIY Murphy Bed
The Vevor hinges are terrific: strong springs, sleek package and great value. The directions should tell you more about how to work with the hinges as you layout your design. A key tip is to unload the springs from the hinges so you can move the hinges freely to see how they work. Here are a few pictures of the queen-size murphy bed I built with these hinges. The beadboard cabinet looks good in an antique home.To start, I built just the frame using 5/4” x 4” poplar boards. That way I could see everything working before taking the time to build a cabinet. This simple frame may be all you need if your bed folds into a closet or wall. You can absolutely build a great Murphy Bed with the Vevor hinges.

You get what you paid for.
Overall this product worked, that's probably the best thing that I can say about it. Instructions are horrible as mentioned by other reviewers, If you choose to return it, you'll need to pay for shipping cost to send it back and it weighs so much I wouldn't recommend trying to return it. Mine arrived in horrible shape, the box was torn up and the screws were missing. When I reached out about getting replacement screws, the company did not send them out. I ended up having to go to local home improvement store to pick up some M6 screws and regular screws to install the components.Much better instructions are located at the website: Richelieu.comI used a piece of paper to create a template of where the holes are for the piece that attaches to the bed box. It worked pretty well. In addition, I would get 2in gap between the base of the box and 3-4in gap between the top of the cabinet and the top of the bed box.

Edit: I was optimistic, and I was ultimately able to pull it off, but no thanks to the product.
So, I don't know where to start. I purchased this option based on price. When I received it, the instruction sheet is woefully inadequate and essentially useless. I am an intermediate skill woodworker, so I adapted a design I found at woodworkingformeremortals.com. When it came time to install this kit, it became apparent that the lack of instructions was going to be an issue. I had done hand measurements of the hardware, but a measurement drawing from the seller would have been exceptionally useful as my measurements were ever so slightly off, making mounting the spring portion of the hinge to the bed frame challenging. I even had to drill out the location and glue dowel sections to start over on one side. Once that issue was solved and the cabinet bracket portion of the hinge was mounted, we found it impossible to reinstall the U-shaped locking pins that hold the two parts of the hinge together. I was able to get two hex keys through the holes, hoping that once I got the bed extended, I'd be able to install the locking pins. UPDATE: I had to redesign my cabinet because I had stupidly thought it would look nice if the bed platform rotated up and overlapped the sides, not considering the fact that the overlap would actually prevent it from pivoting. After widening the cabinet, and mounting boards to ensure this product could still attach to the bed platform, I used one of those flexible, spring loaded grabber tools to hold the pins in place and used a small hammer to tap them into their holes, locking the two parts of the hinge assembly together. Then, finally, we were able to rotate the bed down. I had asked the seller to approve my request to return the item, but they never responded. I bumped my rating up to two stars just because it does work, but the creation of the cabinet is much more of an advanced woodworking project than I considered, making it very challenging to complete. It ultimately took two months to complete and my error ultimately scrapped two $55 sheets of 3/4" birch plywood. Buyer beware.
