Received broken
Shipping via UPS was very slow. When we tried to turn it on there were colored streaks and a white blob that looked like an ice burg. We contacted LG and were told the screen was broken. We asked for a return authorization and shipped it back to the vendor. This tv was highly rated and the price was very fair. After all the hassle we will by TVs locally although it will be more expensive.

Doesn’t support HBO
Very disappointed that this TV does not allow you to download the HBO app. Have to get it through another app. Sound is unimpressive, picture ok.

a reasonable price
I was replacing a set more than five years old, so this is a big improvement. The sound is weak and tinny compared to the VIZIO system that I actually use.

Great TV
I'm surprised that several previous reviews that rated this TV on problems related to delivery issues or an app that it doesn't have rather than the TVs performance. I'm also surprised that some of the people who read those reviews indicated that those reviews were "Helpful".I bought this TV on sale from a local membership club last week to replace a 32" Samsung LED 1080P TV in the bedroom.I am using an Oppo 105D universal player that upsamples to 4K so it is not a full 4K player. After going through the SETTINGS menu, making adjustments, and logging into WiFi, I watched scenes from more than a half a dozen Blu-Ray DVDs. I initially selected the "MOVIE" setting in the PICTURE settings but felt it didn't have the contrast and clarity that "STANDARD" does so I have mine set to STANDARD. You will have to decide for yourself.Under the PICTURE MODE SETTINGS you can go deeper into the menu to access ADVANCED CONTROLS and PICTURE OPTIONS. There is even a BLACK LEVEL adjustment! You can also set your setting choices to apply to all inputs. If you change your mind, you can select RESET.Over the course of turning the TV on and off several times a message displayed that a firmware upgrade was available so I downloaded the latest version. On many Blu-Rays in my collection that I considered to have been transferred very well from film to Blu-Ray DVD the pictures were incredibly sharp, colors very vivid without being oversaturated. Detail was open opening ! e.g. Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest, The Bourne Legacy, iRobot, Apocalypto, Skyfall, Casino Royale, The Foreigner, & Lone Survivor. Flesh tones appear natural to my eyes. Minute details in facial features, such as pores on faces, wrinkles in the make up on actresses faces, etc., are so visible they really stood out to the point where initially it was a distraction. The clarity is really very impressive. It's substantial improvement over the 1080P LED Samsung.I don't know how these pictures I uploaded will show up with this review but hopefully the facial detail, color, etc., can be clearly seen. If some shots appear slightly blurry it's because there was motion and movement. There is some blur in Will Smith's picture. Even my girlfriend, who doesn't really pay that close of attention to what I watch commented how clear it was.You will have to spend time making adjustments to your settings to achieve color balances, tint, brightness, and contrast. As I mentioned earlier, this LG replaced a 32" TV which was wall mounted. When initially going through the MENU, the remote didn't consistently respond. I changed the factory supplied batteries with new ones and still had problems. I finally figured out the IR remote sensor is located at bottom of the TV under the LG logo which was hidden by my center channel speaker. (Refer to my review on the Martin Logan Motion 8i) So keep that in mind if your set up is the same as mine. I've since mounted the TV higher so that the sensor is no longer blocked by the center channel speaker.Side note: I just received a new wall mount from Amazon today and will remount the LG higher. I had the Samsung mounted with a Sanus Simplicity wall mount with an articulating swing arm. It has a capacity up to a 47", 60# TV. The Samsung is well under those specs. I re-checked the mount and it was at 90º plumb but the weight of the Samsung deflected it down to the right. It may have been "user error" on my part for an adjustment I missed but I decided to using a different wall mounting system. The new mount is designed like a French cleat mount so that will eliminate any deflection of the LG.I cannot comment on the sound of the TVs internal speakers as I have it set up through my home theater system.
