Discoveries Egyptian Imports - Handmade Genie Bottle, Made in Egypt and Packaged in Decorative Hieroglyphic Box - Yellow - 7"

Unfortunately the enclosed stopper top had a broken stem applicator so it was unusable as a perfume bottle. It was obvious that the stem was broken before it was even packaged as there was no broken glass in the packing material. While it would still be just a nice bottle without the stem there is a sharp edge left by the broken stem on the bottom of the stopper, and it would not make a pleasant applicator. It should not have been shipped by the supplier in this state. Lucky for me, I ordered 2 of these and the other arrived intact, and is exactly what I wanted.

It was smaller than I thought. But my client loves it.

I used to travel to Egypt all the time in the 90s. Went there many times and all through Egypt. While I was there I purchased many Egyptian perfume bottles. When I saw this one, it reminded me of a Genie type bottle. Since I was ordering the book Arabian nights I thought this would make a nice complement to the book. I believe my genie escaped because the stopper (top part) was missing. The bottle came in a nicely decorated hieroglyphic box, however ;they taped the top of the box so when you take the tape off...you pull some of the design away from the box. Could not wait to receive, but a big disappointment. Now I am sending it back for a refund.

Beautiful bottle. I bought the blue medium size. The first time arrived with the top broken. I contacted the seller and they replaced it right away. Great customer service. My new bottle arrived today and it is perfect! Thank you Pam for a wonderful customer service. I highly recommend the seller and the magnificent Genie perfume bottle.

Made my heart sing, that's what! Wanted it for a long time and finally got it. No matter the fact that they tell you all tall a bottle is, you always think they will be bigger. Same here. But it is just as described and I love it.

This perfume bottle is authentically Egyptian, identical to ones I saw in the markets of Cairo, Egypt. I wanted to buy perfume bottles while I was in Cairo but was hesitant to try to carry something so fragile on the flights home. This bottle is so beautifully detailed, you could use it as a decorative piece, or you could use as I do, to hold Egyptian rose perfume oil. The lid closes tightly and securely.

This was beautiful! Looks great in my daughters room.

The Genie bottle arrived poorly packaged in a semis open carton, and it was amazing it arrived not broken as it was made of glass.The bottle was one third the size I expected and it is more a perfume bottle than a Genie Bottle. I bought it for a gift and it was very disappointing.I though I ordered the 13 Inch bottle on the US Amazon site but when I was transferred to the Australian Amazon site the Bottle size was not shown, and shrunk to 8 Inches and for double the cost.Not happy with this purchase !
