My house is a disaster. Three kids, six big dogs, two cats, a pair of birds, and a frog. EVERYONE is disgusting.My cleaning motto for yeeearrrs was “kill it with chemicals” and if there’s a weird way to do it, I’ve bought it. Robot vacuums? Have those. Vacuum Mop combos? Yep. Sponge mops, Spray mops, microfiber mops, wet mops, dry mops, weird rubber broom things, tornado mops (love these).... I even bought those scrubbing brush attachments for power drills. And to go with that, every single kind of highly toxic chemical concoction the evil geniuses at Dow and DuPont could cook up.The results usually left me thinking, “Yeah, I might die early, but at least I will have gotten 43% of the soap scum out of the shower and 63% of whatever that is in my teenage boy’s bathroom sink before I go....”Enter THIS baby.... One night I’m ignoring my family and reading one of those Buzzfeed Lists of miracle cleaning products, and come across this. I ask my husband if he ever used one and he looked at me like I was crazy. He was like “They’re AWESOME- I’ve always wondered why you don’t use one.”It’s true I was basically raised by wolves, but he could have SAID something... So, I resisted the urge to throttle him, and just bought this baby (and a bunch of other stuff) with his credit card. When it arrived, I plugged it in and tried it out on our kitchen floor (natural slate), then on the hardwoods, and then in the master bath.GAME. CHANGER.Pros: ACTUALLY DOES THE JOB IT SAYS IT WILL, comes with useful tools (the window squeegee is a dog snot and soap scum assassin), great mop or handheld options, fast heat up, multiple steam settings (though naturally I only used it on “high”). Automatic safety shut off when stood upright (for the mop) or set down (for the handheld option).Cons: The unit seemed finicky when detached from the mop. I couldn’t quite figure out if it needed to be constantly moving or held at a certain angle, but the safety shut off kept triggering. Not sure if it’s a design or user error (probably the latter). A larger tank would be nice. I legit melted a bunch of caulking (it needed to be redone anyway).Notes: Better suited for very flat surfaces- it couldn’t quite get into the nooks of my slate flooring and 120 year old hardwoods. But I run into that with any flat head mop.Overall: I definitely recommend!

I'm a single guy who likes a clean place and I never thought that I'd be excited about using a steam mop to clean my floors but that's exactly what happened, with minimal streaking and much less then other floor cleaners! It arrived today and the assembly was easy and I was mopping in no time. It did a good job cleaning the floors of my 2 bedroom condo. I even used the detachable unit and pin point nozzle and brush to clean a section of grout. It did a really good job. You have to work a bit longer on a real dirty section of the grout but the grout can be cleaned. It's pretty easy to use and maneuver. My only gripe is that the cord keeps coming loose from the cord holder on the handle but it's a minor gripe. The water tank could be bit larger but that would add weight to the portable unit. I haven't use the squeegee or the cylinder cleaning tool but I will. The fill cup is handy. I'm very happy with my purchase. Be sure to use distilled water. This is a good product! 'Nuff Said!

I bought this product because I have a lot of deep cleaning that needed to be done in my home (cleaning grout, cabinet faces, bathtub jets, etc.) I began with the grout lines and I can't believe how easy it is. Using the tube connector with the small brush head the gunk build up just melted away...you dont even have to press hard. I have much more tile to clean but so far it looks like new tile in my home. (You can see in the picture where I didnt clean yet). Very happy. The cord is long enough, so you don't have to keep moving the plug. Only drawback I see is that you have to keep filing the tank with water but that kind of was expected....cause it's a steam mop! I also love it as a mop. It works on my laminate floors and my tile. So easy. Tossing out my old mop.

This is the most wonderful mop I have ever used! So quick and easy to start up and use. Has a great deep cleaning steam that cuts through efficiently. Doing floors is no longer a chore but is now a breeze! Thank you

I originally purchased a much simpler version of this:(LIGHT 'N' EASY Steam Mop, Ultra-Lightweight, Child & Pet Safe Floor Steamer, Deep Cleaning for Hardwood Floor/Tile//Grout/Laminate/Vinyl/Carpet, 7618A)which I LOVE. It is manual and works very well. When I tried to purchase a second one for my 2nd floor, they were no longer available on Amazon. So reluctantly I purchased this more complicated version. From the moment I took it out of the box, it was clunky, heavier and awkward to push, but it did heat up decently and once I got the hang of it (being that the original mop I liked was still unavailable) I decided to keep it. Now 2 months later, it has stopped functioning intermittently. The low/med/high heat settings button doesn't function, and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work for 2 or 3 minutes before it shuts off again. I tried to visit the "Support" link offered by Amazon and Light and Easy, but got a 404 error message saying that "support site" wasn't available.I feel ripped off and frustrated. Really too bad 'cause the first mop I bought is still going strong. Very bummed!
