The one recommended by the guide at the Titanic Museum
Last year, we took our 6-year-old to the Titanic Museum in TN. When the guides learned that he is a big Titanic buff, some of them quizzed him on Titanic facts. He ALWAYS knew the right answer, thanks to this book! One of the guides told me that if I were to get one book about the Titanic, it should be this one. I told him, "We already have it -- how do you think my boy knows all these answers?"What's great about this book, for adults and children alike, is that it's well-researched, doesn't repeat old myths, and has a very easy-to-approach format. Kids can get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of background, history, and narrative in the Titanic story. This book breaks the story down into interesting, accurate, bite-sized facts that allow kids to put the pieces of the story in place by themselves. Besides, kids love to show off their knowledge of trivia tidbits!Of all the many Titanic books my boy has, he returns to this one again and again. Although now, thanks to other Titanic books, he will correct the title -- the Titanic has been variously cited as 882.75 and 882.9 feet long. I told him that, with all that riveted steel, it certainly expanded and contracted by an inch or two depending on temperature inside and outside the hull, and whether it was in dry dock or in the water. That seems to satisfy him that it's not quite wrong to say it was 882-1/2 feet long.Highly, highly recommended for any young -- or even not-so-young -- Titanic aficionado.

Fun Facts
My 8 year is really into the Titanic. So much so that he has recreated it with cardboard and legos so he can reenact and see what really went wrong. I got him this book at the beginning of December to keep him busy all month long. And boy did it ever he read this book from cover to cover three times. There are so many interesting facts. I was even intrigued. The book is made very well, and the layout is just perfect. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a titanic fanatic and to eight year olds and up.

Awesome book!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 6 year old grandson. He has recently become obsessed with anything Titanic and he loves this book! He and his mother look at it every night before he goes to bed. 😊It is very sturdy and professionally made. The pages are made of quality paper and I love that it's a hardcover book. This will definitely survive my sweet grandson's daily perusal. There are many facts and pictures per page, so if you or someone in your life is a Titanic lover, I highly recommend!

Very interesting!
This was a very informative read to satisfy even the most curios about the tragedy of the Titanic. The is more like a thick, quality magazine than a book, but I guess that depends on one's definition of a book. I personally was expecting a smaller in dimension, but thicker book. But that's no big deal as it's what inside that counts. And inside this book is a whole bunch of common and not-so-common questions about everything relating to the Titanic. It reads in chronological order, from the building of the Titanic to the re-discovery of its remains to the movie. There are plenty of questions that I would have never thought to ask and also lots and lots of actual photos of the events in question. The only thing I was only a TAD disappointed with (hence the subtraction of one star) were the structure of the some of the questions. In many instances, one question is dissected into multiple questions, so in a sense it's a little like cheating. But I suppose it was necessary to come up with 882 questions! But what I mean is that reading a handful of questions is like reading something like this:"Why did the dog bark at the cat?" Because the cat startled him."Why did the cat startle the dog?" Because he was wandering the street."Why was the cat on the street?" Because he ran off from home."Why did he run off from home?" Because he was bored. And so on and so forth. Fortunately, this wasn't the book in entirety and was just peppered here and there. And of course even those sorts of examples are still informative, but still. I didn't really like the feeling of lingering on the same question. Other than that, this is a great book and soooooooo intersting. Highly recommended.

Info even my 9 year old Titanic enthusiast didn't already know- and I (Mom) found it very neat as well!
My 9 year old son has been Titanic obsessed since he was 6. He has read any books regarding the ship from his school and local library. When I saw this book I questioned if he had seen it before but it looked new to me, so I took a chance. He doesn't eat, sleep and breathe the Titanic these days like he used to but I knew he would still be interested. When I went to wrap it for Christmas I actually found myself reading it for nearly 30 minutes! This book has a bunch of tidbit information and just one after another, without the "boring" part of written in a book format. It was very interesting and I learned a lot that I had never heard of before. It's not a book in "story" form but definitely a neat coffee table-type book to pick up and read parts at a time. He and I both enjoy it! I definitely recommend this book for any Titanic enthusiast!

great book to introduce kids to Titanic
I remember reading this as a kid and decided to get it for my nephew since it's a list of facts rather than just reading about the ship and disaster. He liked it and it was easy to understand what was going on thanks to the images with the facts.

Fantastic Facts!
My daughter has developed a huge interest in the titanic. She doesn't like reading long books, so the format of this book is perfect. You can open it on any page and find a myriad of facts in little boxes. There are plenty of illustrations and colours. She can read it from cover to cover, or just flick through and learn bits and pieces as she goes. Hardback as well. Exactly what I needed and I can't wait to give her it for Christmas.
