This is an excellent book; relevant for our times. Isaiah 5:20 states "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (NASB). We live in perilous times. Darkness is all around trying to gain a foothold in our lives but the Light that shines in the darkness, our Lord Jesus Christ, is truly a great light. It is such an encouragement to see how the love of strong family, good Godly counsel but most of all the grace of God worked miracles in the life of the young men in the book. There are so many being deceived by evil today. Knowing the signs of what to look for and the challenges involved in reaching out to those involved in cults is invaluable. Thank you for being willing to share your story!

Reading Geneva's book brought back a lot of memories. I am a former minister of the Christian Fellowship Church, and knew Randy personally when he was stationed in Norfolk. Her detail is painfully accurate in how CFCMI mistreated the men who joined their organization under the premise of a closer walk with God and living the end time message. There are numerous blogs and message boards out there where ex-members shared what they went through, but rarely do we see an account from a family member who suffered needlessly thanks to the group's mind control tactics.I have shared this book with my mom; both my parents also know firsthand the damage this bunch did, and Geneva's account will be a useful tool in helping other family members gain better understanding and find healing.

I like reading this book at first I didn’t know what to expect but as I stated reading I felt like she was sitting across from me at my table telling me their story

This was a great eye opener. It helped me to understand what happens to someone who falls into a "Christian cult". I believe this man might have come out of it quicker if he had been receiving deliverance at the same time though.

This is an ispirational story of God's love and strength. The determination of this family to rescure their son is amazing! With God on their side they trugged forward unknowing but ever faithful the Lord would see them through. I strongly suggest you read this book, you will be recomending it to friends and family!

I can't imagine the agony the family went through to rescue Randy. Now that is true love for their son and a tremendous trust in God.You could feel every agonizing moment as they searched for the best way to bring Randy back. It is an inspiring book that every family should read.

I know the family and live in the same area so can vouch for the fine Christian upbringing Randy had. I admire the tenacity of the family determined to rescue and bring Randy back to the Christian community. I recommend this book highly. Very inspirational reading.

I feel was very well written, descriptive of emotions. I know the family. It expresses their faith in The Trinity. Tells how easy people can be tricked and mislead. It is a book that tells of the family strong faith.
