Not a good level
This is the third one I’ve had and the Magnets have fallen out of everyone

Great level
I completely enjoy my diecast level. It is a much better than a typical torpedo level. It is much sturdier than those plastic empires. It is easy to see in low light situations with that bright green bubble.

this little level is great to spot check your work. While not a mini pocket size, its metal construction means I do not have to worry about it flexing or changing level when its in my pocket. It also has magnets on the bottom to hold onto your fridge to level it, or to your pipes to get the correct pitch.

Accuracy is good, however the cast name plate protrudes from the level, making transferring a line to an adjacent surface wobbly and inaccurate.Base of level is half the width of the center of the level, riding on two small (1/4" aprox) ridges separated by a v-groove, that holds the magnets. The center width will prevent you from resting the level on widths less than 3/4" aprox.Magnetism is adequate. An idiotic design. Just get the Stabila.

Stanley FatMax Mini Torpedo Level
Since Stanley teamed up with Black and Decker this line of FatMax Tools is the way to go. The torpedo is made from aluminum and fits in the 12 inch toolbox with a little room to spare on the ends. Whatever it cost it was worth it.
