Orange Dry Bag (10L) by Odyssey, Waterproof Guaranteed, with Shoulder Strap & Free Bonus Smartphone Bag

Let me start off by saying I was NOT approached by this company for a review - I just saw the high rating and decided to try it out. The big bag is of very high quality. Nice thick material. Orange color is exactly as pictured. Nice wide, sturdy strap. I'm confident enough to attach to the outside of my kayak. I haven't fully submerged it yet since I just keep these in my kayak but I'm confident it won't leak based on the materials. You should definitely roll it down 3-4 times though. I suggest getting 2 bags. I do not suggest buying a larger 20L bag of any sort, because it gets hard to find and retrieve things in them at that size. Things I can fit in just one bag: Shirt, Hat, Snacks, 3 water bottles, glasses, keys, phone, first aid kit, lights.. a pretty good amount. I purchased an additional one for thick towels and additional drinks. These even keep my drinks cold so I don't need a cooler.The only issue I had was with the smaller bag (which really is a bonus bag since the big bag alone is a few bucks cheaper than similar products on Amazon). A moderate amount of water was entering the smaller bag when fully submerged so I contacted the company. We concluded this particular bag must've had a small tear somewhere which wasn't visible - not up to their usual high standards. After a VERY prompt and friendly reply, they offered to replace or refund both bags which I thought was incredibly generous. In fact, I'm ordering another bag right now because of this. I'd recommend the little bag for electronics IF it's placed inside the larger bag. Although I haven't been able to test another small bag, this seems to be the safest option for your phone or mp3 player. Having purchased many dry bags recently, I can attest that the thicker material bags are the only ones I'd really trust as totally waterproof, no matter which brand you choose. I'd even go further to say a quality Otterbox or similar hard case with seal is best for valuables like your phone - but that's just me, don't want to take any chances. Downside to that is if dropped, a hard case would sink unlike these floating dry bags. That said, the clear window on the little bag is very large - larger than most smaller dry bags - I don't have to struggle to get my big HTC phone with case in there - there is even room for other things like keys and sunglasses.Other dry bag brands I've tried include Sea to Summit and Adventure Lion - I prefer this one to those based on the superior customer service, better price, and better color. The orange is really nice looking and easily visible. I can't wait to take these to the beach since I always lose things in the water. For now, it's perfect for kayaking. I can't say how much easier it is to get down to the dock with all my gear strapped across my shoulder in these bags. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WATERPROOF DRY BAG! My dad decided to take my sister and I on a fishing trip to Alaska to go Salmon fishing. So of course I got amazon to see what all I should buy for my trip and this dry bag came up. I kept it in my wish list for a couple weeks before I decided to buy it. It worked out perfectly for what we needed it for. We were going to be on a boat every day all day for 5 days in Alaska so we needed to make sure our stuff (cell phone, wallets, keys, tips for our guides, dry socks, etc) stayed dry. This bag was able to hold my sister's, my dad's, my step moms and all my stuff! Not only was the big bag great so was the little dry bag! It held two cells phones a thick wallet keys and money in it. I couldn't believe how much the small dry bag could hold. I have used it several times even after our trip to Alaska. I take it to the beach and to the pool to hold mine and my husbands stuff. I also use the big dry bag to carrier our beach towels. The beach towels do take up a lot of room and I have to stuff them, but they stay dry and keeps the sand out. I would highly recommend this product.

EDIT: I contacted the seller and they helped me with my return issues. It appears it was an issue with Amazon, as normally returns are free. Great product, even better customer service! I'm looking forward to my new 20L bag that is now on it's way!!!From the reviews listed, I assumed a 10L bag would be sufficient for my purposes. Mainly, a towel or two and some snacks for going on a float trip. However, after receiving it, I realized that the 10L size barely holds one towel and not much else, once you fold it over three times to achieve waterproof abilities. I liked the vibrant color, the shoulder strap, and the added phone bag, especially since it all clips together. It seems high quality and similar in quality to my friend's much more expensive one. But, when I tried to exchange it to buy the 20L one offered, Amazon wanted me to pay over half the price I paid in return shipping! I paid $15 and they wanted $8 just to mail it back to them. I can't give a glowing review to a product that doesn't allow me to freely return an item back to them, especially if I wanted to buy another product from them instead. I would be very satisfied otherwise, but it looks like I'm stuck with what I bought!

We didn’t have high hopes for this bag given what we had looked at in store and that price compared to this price. When I opened he box I was so surprised! It looked great! We tested it out at home and all was good. We brought it out on the kayaks with no dry well down a 6 hour trip and it performed great. Since then it’s been used many many times and it works exactly as expected. The 10l size is great for the two of us to put wallets phones and keys inside with ample room left. As long as you roll this down correctly as the instructions on the inside of the bag show, you’ll have no issues. I would 100% recommend this bag. Now the phone case that it came with isn’t great but I didn’t buy this for the phone case so that isn’t being taken into consideration for my star rating.

You know how you get a funny story from a lot of "hip" companies about the backround and preparation "that went into your item" I'm really happy this back was blessed by a Tibetan monk because that is my second step with this bag. I fly into Hong Kong then Lhasa Tibet next week. I'm happy they will approve of my travel supplies on this monumental adventure! Lol thanks!! True story.The best part is now I'm back from Tibet met several monks and went to monestarys and temples all over and this back is one of the best purchases I could have ever made. The cell/important stuff dry sack that came with free of charge was a life saver! It has a clear front keeps your goods dry and makes security easy because the can see right through it. It was the perfect combo for extensive travel in Asia!!
