If you are looking for a transformer that works with the poorly named "Nest doorbell (Battery)" which actually works with wired power too, look no further. That doorbell in wired mode needs 16-24V AC for whatever reason (why can't they just accept 110-240V AC like normal products) and I can't believe they just let you fend for yourself to get the AC to AC transformer.And because I needed to install it in my mom's place overseas, I really needed it to do a step down from 240V. I could not have asked for a better product. Super clear color coding and instructions to install. I just wish it came with an enclosure and screws so I could mount it on a wall. The electrician who set up the doorbell for me got his own enclosure and that worked out.

Don’t know the first thing about this. AC guy said he be back like 4 months ago to install the build I bought and this which he said I needed. But won’t return my calls and never showed up to put it in for $50. On a budget so guess I really do have F Me on my forehead. Everybody else can see it but me I guess. lol. Seriously though it does make a great paperweight for the bills that can’t be paid cause the 20 year old stole my job with a fake resume. But the joke is on them right? Waiting for the call. They will call right? Lmao!!!

The picture of the transformer on the Amazon page shows a label describing all the details of what it is and there’s no label on the transformer they sent.It has a logo on there that looks like a backwards R and the letter U with a small c in the front and a small us following it . The label says it’s a 50 to 60 Hz 120 to 240 V transformer with white black red and orange / yellow wires and the secondary wires are 24V and 40 A with red and green. The label goes on to say it has class B insulation and is a class to transformer.The one I received was generic with no label on it. Simply stamped Basic 2030.Since is going on an expensive HVAC unit I did not feel comfortable installing it.Not As Pictured in Ad. No Brand Name or Label Certifying Electricity Or Amps.
