HISY Bluetooth Headset with stand - pink

This is now the 4th one of this product that I've used and find it to be extremely useful in my photography. It's a very simple to use camera remote that I pair with my cell phone. I keep it in hand when taking photos. It's especially useful when using a tripod mount where camera shake could be an issue. I highly recommend this for photography when using cell phones.

I use this clicker on my Iphone 6 Plus to remotely trigger pictures and to also start and stop video recordings. I take it with me on all my various hikes where I have no one else with me to take a picture of me out in nature. I have got this to work from 80+ft away. Usually when I am taking a picture from this far away I will click the button many times just in case the signal does not go through for one of them.This is extremely easy to setup and use. Make sure to follow the instructions for connecting. Then in the later uses it will take a click or two to activate the clicker and reconnect it with your phones Bluetooth. I think it is some sort of sleep mode when it is not in use.Overall looking at the different options out there and some of the poor reviews for the alternatives, happy I got this one. I highly recommend it.

This product is absolutely amazing. This is my second time repurchasing this product (my first time, I left it behind at a luau I attended).Connects fast with my iPhone 6+ and takes pictures efficiently. I noticed that when your phone is off and you click the button, it can either turn the screen on and if you're listening to music, the sound can increase or decrease (every other click). No wifi required to use, just connect with your Bluetooth and you're good to go. One thing that I would rate down is that I received the wrong color. I ordered a black and received a white. I would give a 4 star in processing wise, but I do not mind the color. Just the remote itself. Battery wise, I cannot say how long, but it definitely goes a long way. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this product, especially if you have a selfie stick that does absolutely nothing.

This remote works great. It took me maybe 20 or 30 seconds to pair with my iPhone 6s (including the time it took to open settings and get to the bluetooth setup screen). It is quite small so a lanyard is a must in my opinion. It comes with a sort of lanyard that its a few inches long and has a plug/closure on the other end that holds it in the phone's 3.5mm trrs headphone/mic jack. The lanyard is slightly difficult to thread so have a paperclip, sewing needle or something similar handy when you attach it. The aforementioned reason is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars. The remote itself is quite responsive but not so sensitive that you need to worry about setting it off prematurely. I would definitely recommend this item to a friend.

*Note: I refer to this Bluetooth Shutter release as ‘HISY’ in my review to cut down on the number of times I say ‘Bluetooth Shutter release’.*Most wireless Bluetooth shutter releases function in one of two ways:1. Acts as a Bluetooth volume button (+/-)2. Acts as a Bluetooth keyboard input (+/-)This Bluetooth shutter release (HISY) falls under #2. While both #1 & #2 will trigger a shutter action (and both will adjust the volume of your phone), #2 presents a unique problem. Because #2 acts as a Bluetooth keyboard input rather than solely as a true Bluetooth volume button, your phone will believe you have connected a Bluetooth keyboard. As a result, your on phone’s on-screen keyboard will no longer appear when you are connected to HISY.This becomes very frustrating as you will be unable to type anything (answering texts, searching google, etc) while connected to HISY. To bring back your phone’s on-screen keyboard, you will have to go into your phone’s Bluetooth settings and disconnect from HISY manually.Additionally, HISY reconnects with your phone after a single button click on HISY. Therfore, if you happen to bump this Bluetooth shutter release (while it is in your pocket / bag / etc), it will reconnect to your phone instantly and once again replace your phone’s on-screen keyboard. You will be unable to type anything on your phone until you disconnect from the device manually once again. The only way to ensure HISY does not connect after a single button click is to “forget this device” under your phone’s Bluetooth menu. But now you will have to re-pair HISY to your phone each time you want to use it.Worse yet, you can’t reprogram HISY to function as #1 (as a true Bluetooth volume button), at least on iPhone / iOS at the time of this review. So you’re stuck with no on-screen keyboard while connected to HISY.I tested a pair of Bluetooth headphones I own (Jaybird 3) that act as a true Bluetooth volume button (#1) with my phone, and they do not replace the on-screen keyboard while still adjusting volume / triggering a shutter release.Please fix this HISY!

This worked as advertised, but I found a cheaper and better remote so I am returning this one. I received a used remote that was still connected to a device but once I reset it, it was easy to connect to my phone. It doesn't alert you when it has been disconnected like some Bluetooth remotes do but I liked how small and sleek it is. The range is pretty good, and it's easy to use. Just an FYI though, I'm being charged $6 for the return so don't buy this unless you're certain you'll like it.

Apple sells this remote for $25, I got it on Amazon for$17! I have used another infrared remote that did not work reliably in the sun. Since this remote is Bluetooth connected it always works reliably. Some reviews on this site say it only works with the native iPhone camera app but I did not find this to be the case. It worked just fine with the popular Camera+ app (on my iPhone 6+) and some others. There were some camera related apps that it did not work with however. It comes with a little lanyard and a plastic 3.5mm headphone plug (see photos) that allows you to attach it to your phone if you are not using that port.
