Prime-Line U 10171 Shelf Support Peg, 5mm, Steel, Nickel Plated, 8 Count (Pack of 1)

Used these in my pantry cabinet. The last clips were plastic and one broke due to the weight on the peg so I bought these to replace the plastic. Much much better and way more durable since they are metal & they fit my peg holes perfectly. No drilling required.

This were ordered to replace original plastic shelf supports in a book case which were shearing off under the weight of the books. These supports work perfectly, fit exactly in the holes and now, several months after I installed them, they remain intact and unbroken. I am happy.

Moved into an apartment... Our landlord is absolutely a slum lord, he won't fix anything properly. Anyway half of our kitchen cabinets have no shelves so we made some, bought some 1/4 inch pegs from Walmart at first but they were too big. Pulled out ny drill bits, realized they were 3/16 and bought these. They fit perfectly, they're sturdy and most importantly, I have shelves in my kitchen cabinets.

Although these fit my shelves with a 5mm peg diameter, they have a slightly different shape than the plastic ones that came with the shelf itself. This means that you will not be able to replace just one or two of them since it would create an uneven height for the shelf. Luckily for me, my shelves have lost a total of 4 of these on different shelves, so I could just shuffle them around to have a shelf use these metal ones alone. Since these are metal, they are much more durable than the plastic ones that come with the shelf. Although you would have to use these by themselves, they would do if you ever lose the stock ones and the shelves become unstable.

Good fit and you can screw them in so that the shelf doesn’t fall out. It’s a good design and it’s strong.

These worked fantastic to replace the wretched itty-bitty plastic pins supplied with the IKEA PAX shelves ... you can flip them to raise or lower the shelf the height of the shelf. no need to screw them in ... but you can.

There is only 8 pegs in a packet for $14.95, so be aware and check out the price before you order! They seem sturdy enough but at this price, they should be.I am returning them as I know I can get similar for a lot less.
