Novogratz 88192YNOE Poolside Paulette Outdoor Table and Bench Set, Yellow

I bought this as a warehouse deal knowing that it might be missing some fasteners but figured those would be easy to find at a hardware store. Wasn’t my first choice color either but it was a great price. Turns out it was only missing one washer - LOL.Super easy to put together and sturdy as heck. I got it done by myself in about a half hour.

As noted by other reviewers, the top boards of the table and benches snap when the temperature changes outside. I now have 6 of these boards cracked and sticking up out of the table. Customer support was useless.

This is a nice set, but there were paint defects in several spots, unfortunately some in visible areas with large ugly black marks. Overall, it seems cheaply and sloppily made. For the price should be higher quality (at least without visible damage upon arrival).

I moved into a new apartment last November, and now that the sun’s finally peeking out I needed a picnic table to set up outside. I got this Novogratz set just the other day, and set it up as per the written instructions (which were a bit confusing, but the process was fairly intuitive regardless). Putting it together was relatively easy, and with the help of my partner we had assembled it in about twenty minutes. After assembled I was really happy with the outcome! The table is large and sturdy, and the benches easily accommodate four people. Despite what I feared, the pieces are all really high quality and fairly heavy. It’s not some $50 ikea table with cardboard in the middle, but something that will definitely last. I love the modern hairpin legs and the weather-proof teak top. It looks great with my outdoor design. The yellow trim is bright and energetic, and brings some liveliness to the courtyard.The only thing I’d complain about would be the price! Nearly $500 is a ridiculously high cost to pay for a table that uses synthetic wood. I definitely wouldn’t purchase this table unless the price dropped, because, while it really is nice, it’s hard to imagine how it would be work $500.

I'll say this upfront: It took longer for me to unpack this darned thing than it did to assemble it. I mean, the legs are all bubble wrapped and packed in separate boxes, the bench tops are in separate boxes, and the table top, well, not in a separate box but roll with me here. On the one hand yeah, this thing is very unlikely to get damaged in transit, but when it comes time to put it all together be sure you have a sharp box knife AND scissors for the bubble wrap.Once all unpacked, it took me maybe 15 minutes to assemble it all with an impact driver. Yes, use an impact driver here. One big plus is that this set uses Torx bolts (T27 to be exact) which is a bit that is pretty standard in impact bit sets. So kudos. Anyway, the angles here are somewhat awkward if you rely on the Allen-type wrench included in the blister packs, so an impact driver is going to move things along most expeditiously.Now then - it's metal framed, and the screws go INTO metal, which makes durability and stability top notch. The bottoms of the legs have screw-in (plastic, alas) caps that help keep the table level....if it's on a non-level surface, very easy to loosen up the cap on the appropriate leg and make it a bit longer. Again, nice detail.The table surface (and bench seats) are not wood...it's a plasticky-sort of material. As this is intended for poolside, and thus subject to water landing on it, I welcome this choice. Indeed, sitting out in the rain over the weekend I had zero worries of this material swelling and shrinking. It's an ideal choice for a damp or wet environment. The metal is coated though, but well enough to guard against rust for a good amount of time.One thing bears mentioning - there is NO HOLE FOR AN UMBRELLA. That can be fixed very easily though, if you're so inclined, as the tabletop material won't impede, say, a hammer drill with a bore bit. Just saying. :)A good sized table, can fit (cozily) two adults on each side (or two kids more comfortably) and one person on each end. Note extra chairs will be needed for the latter, and it doesn't appear Novogratz has a matching chair set. More's the pity. But even just out of the box with no hacks. I'm very happy with this set. It's made well, assembles easily, and the materials will last a good while. I like it a lot.

I love love love this picnic set! I live in Southern Arizona, so my family spends a lot of time outside, for the majority of the year.The sun is also not very forgiving in Southern Arizona.... Wood tends to dry out extremely quicky, and some plastics turn brittle in just a couple years in the sun. This set is made of metal and the same non-wooden material they now use to build decks, that last forever. The hairpin legs are all metal, and have a beautiful modern style to them. The bench and table are actually stable enough to stand on, which of course I did while hanging a plant over my porch 😂. The assembly could not have been easier! Each leg attaches to the table/bench with 4 screws and washers. The set does come with a star tipped Allen wrench, but I opted to use my drill instead. I would say it took me less then 30 minutes to put it together, and most of that time was spent taking everything out of the packaging.It is the perfect size for my family of 4. You can comfortably fit two adults on each bench, or maybe 3-4 kids.The only feature that is missing, which surprised me is, there is no umbrella hole. I put ours under our covered patio, but this may be important for some people.Overall, I am super impressed with the quality of materials. I was shocked by the ease of assembly, and would definitely recommend this set.

Table top cracked after the second year, during the mildest winter in years. Customer service from novogratz was useless. Same with Amazon and the manufacturer Cosco. Don’t waste your money.

Great table. Fingers crossed it lasts outside in Scottish weather! 🤞
