Nice kit !!!
This is my the second kit. I built the first one as USMC M151A1. This kit is gong to be a U.S. Army version. This is an enjoyable kit to build. Parts require minimal cleanup and parts fit well.

Wow that's a lot of parts!
I bought this for my husband, who drove a similar vehicle when he was in the army. We didn't expect quite so many parts, but it will give him something to do. :-)

Tamiya Model Truck
I received the model quickly. Tamiya has great models with each sheet packed and labeled. No over-mold of plastic. Can't wait to start.

Tamiya does not get it right.
When Tamiya came out with the "new" M151A1 kit a couple of years ago I was a bit excited. This would complement their earlier M151A2 kit from the 1990's. I am instead a bit disappointed. Tamiya still chose not to correctly depict the steering wheel of the A1 but chose to keep the later version of the A2 from the old kit. That is being cheap. The earlier A1 does not the deep dished energy absorbing steering wheel but instead uses a thinner rimmed and spoked style. Also there normally is no slave cable receptacle on the A1 as on the A2 model. Tamiya chose to put some kind of a bump there in the plastic of which I have no idea of what it is. Not only that, they did not represent the earlier suspension of the A1, they just rehashed the one from the earlier A2 kit. All of these gaffs can be easily seen on the completed model. The only parts that are "new" on the sprues are the body and , canopy and front and rear tail and turn signals. They did that right. Like all Tamiya kits, they are of good quality but you pay a good price for them too. And at a $25- $30 price for this kit, that is simply too much for this incorrectly depicted M 151A1. Tamiya could have done a lot better. This kit is not worth the price.
