Country Archer Beef Jerky by

I bought a bag of this jerky on the ferry after we had missed our first boat and I was HANGRY. It was kind of a desperation purchase as I'm not usually a jerky lover. But after we devoured it we went on the hunt for more. It is so flavorful! This bag is WAY bigger than our initial ferry purchase. This pleases me. It's softer than the jerky of my memory. The hatch chili flavor is spicy perfection. And grass fed beef. Thumbs up all around.

I bought this for my son and one of our Japanese friends. They liked it. It has a soft and chewy texture. I like that it is grass fed. It is not a spicy jerky. Hatch chilis are more flavor than spice. There was a good amount of jerky in the bag.

This flavor is ~40% brown sugar by weight. 11 grams per 28. The original flavor is 20% brown sugar by weight. A single 2.5oz bag of the original flavor basically takes out your entire net carb allowance for a day. The same amount of the hatch chili flavor would put you up to 27.5 grams, exceeding most ketogenic dieters' target. Offer an option that isn't literally coated in sugar and call that keto. Calling your base product line keto friendly is flat out lying.

I’m kind of a jerky snob, so won’t knock the brand for my personal taste. Good flavor!I prefer a bit more of a chewy/tough jerky, this kind was so tender it has more of a mush type texture. Also I was looking for something with a fresh green chili flavor and this just seems to have a lot of other flavors packed on.NOT bad jerky, just not to my personal craving.

Country Archer makes the best jerky. It is the right thickness and the pieces are right size. Many other producers seen to have lots of scraps in the bag, but not Country Archer. It is seasoned just right, spicy and not too salty.

For some time I’ve been buying jerky from another company that uses Hatches Chili as a rub. That jerky has a nice chili bite to it. This chili hasn’t in half a bag so far. The jerky itself tastes ok and is easy on my old teeth, but I’m disappointed that I couldn’t really tell theres Chili’s mixed in with the beef

It did not meet my expectations at all. The flavor is ok but the consistency of the meat is really soft and too much fat in it. It almost makes me gag. I like drier, chewy jerky with no visible fat in it.

Fresh, moist and especially soft. Very easy to tear to smaller pieces. I tasted every brand over the years, but I have found the this by far the best. I am sold like gold on the best.....
