Solid crimped joins
Very pleased with both the connectors and the crimping tool. The tool is easy to use after you work out which way to put the connectors in. The connectors are decent quality too adding very little resistance to a circuit. I used both connectors and tool to install a pair of component speakers including crossovers. Much better than using a pair of pliers to crimp.

Crimpers good, supplied crimps are too soft.
The crimpers are fine, The reason the crimped joints do not survive the pull-apart test is the poor quality crimps. The barrel material is too thin and soft. Do not use the supplied crimps. Buy some made to proper Euro Norm standards. They will not be cheap. Remember proper crimpers cost over £150 and should be calibrated every 6 or 12 months for about the same cost.

Great value for money.
Not having used one of these items before, I found it very easy to operate. I tested it with every type of connector in the box that came with it, and each time it worked perfectly first time. I am very happy with it. Great value for the price. I would recommend it to others, no problem.

Does the job
Never having used one before, I had to practice a bit with positioning and grip. Once there, I was good to go.Seems well designed and substantially constructed.

Assumes one has previously used a crimping tool.
Unless I missed an enclosed leaflet, the tool is supplied with no instructions. As I've never used a crimping tool before, this was slightly disappointing... However, I think I've got the hang of it but time will tell. The proof of the pudding is that the connectors are staying on and don't look too squashed...

Updated: Poor quality connections - blame the workman not the tool!
Updated: I initially found the sturdiness of the connections rather hit and miss as I practised joining a 4 core cable (22 AWG) that I was using to install a video doorbell. Despite being careful lining things up, and stripping the wires to length I found that half of my connections could be pulled apart without too much force.I was on the point of blaming the tool and not the workman, when I realised that in fact the crimping tool has an asymmetric jaw (i.e. whether you line the end of the crimped section on the left or right of the jaws makes a big difference since the crimp is primarily made on one side (and it needs to be on the central section). So it was the workman and not the tool. That said, I realised that for my application this is the wrong type of connection (they are too bulky for the limited space behind the doorbell or for passing through tubing). In the end I went with the tried and trusted connector block - which means I can connect/disconnect as needed.

Nice universal kit but with problems
I have a lot of wires that are just twisted together and finally decided enough is enough and I should properly terminate them with a crimping tool. This kit is great since it not only comes with the actual crimping tool but also comes with a lot of standard crimps and even at multiple wire gauges.Where the product falls short however is with the quality of the items. The crimps themselves seem to be of decent quality, but the box housing them isn't as good (one of the clips having snapped nearly straight away as seen in my photo). The crimping tool is also of questionable quality. The item itself feels rather hefty, more akin to a quality tool, however right out of the packaging the tool already had leaking oil and it makes me question the actual build quality if it managed to develop a leak before I even used it.Overall, the kit itself is nice and if my problems can be put down to shipping damage (though I highly doubt it) I'd recommend it. Sadly I can only review what I have and thus I'd be weary of the tool since its longevity is put into question by the leak that has developed.
