Very Solid
First impressions:-Excellent battery life. As of now, at 86%, it has more than 9 hours remaining. Also charges very fast, 0 to full in under two hours.-Screen is solid. Not excellent, but it does the job. Fairly sharp and doesn't have any glare in the sun.-Keyboard's pretty good. Keys feel solid, not sticky or soft.-Trackpad is pretty good. Responsive, works well with ChromeOS's gestures.-Sleek and lightweight. Still feels solid, though--the hinges are a bit soft but the screen and body are fairly rigid.-Textured exterior makes for good grip, but the palm rest is smooth and comfortable.-Boots and shuts down very fast. Restarting for updates is a painless process done in under 20 seconds.-Even when I'm pushing the resources it still has a battery life of around 6 hours or more.-Edges are a bit sharp if you press on them, but this isn't a problem if you rest your palms on top of the palmrests. Might dig into the wrists a bit in that case but not badly.-RAM is a bit on the low end; regular browsing frequently uses upwards of 75% of it, but it hasn't seriously impeded me beyond some minor lag when something's making it work extra hard.-Screen can seem a bit washed-out at high brightness, but not too bad.I've used it for normal web browsing: email, news, social networking, etc. I've been able to do most of the same day-to-day stuff I'd do on my more powerful Windows/Linux laptop without any problems, though advanced stuff like programming causes problems, likewise with more resource-intensive applications like gaming (even Flash games can put a bit of a strain on the memory). I know you can dual-boot Ubuntu on here but the RAM would be a serious problem for heavy-duty work.Overall, it's very solid, especially for a $250 laptop. The only serious complaint I have is the RAM, but that's what you can expect with just 2GB, and just fine for a cheap computer. It's still new, so if I have any complaints down the line I'll update this.

A great computer for what it is
This, for the money, is a great product. It is handsome with a comfortable keyboard, and seems well built. I find the processor to be very fast. In fact, I think it's faster than my iMac with the latest OS X, Yosemite. The battery life is awesome. I used it over 2 days for about 8 hrs. and had almost 40% battery charge remaining. Both the unit's construction and the 13" screen's images look great, neither too big or too small. Keep in mind that the Chromebook format is different, and a buyer should understand that virtually all memory will need to go to the Cloud, not stored in the unit. It was simple for me to set up. I already had a Google Chrome internet browser set up on my Mac with my bookmarks and favorites and other customization through my gmail account. So, all I had to do was to sign into that gmail account, and voila, my customized page appeared. Since I already had a Google Play account through my android phone, my music was readily available without having to download a single tune. My conclusion is that for surfing the web, seeking information, on-line shopping, utilizing chat/message boards, or for just checking the news and weather, the Chromebook and it's format may be just what you're looking for. I had just returned a Lenovo laptop with 4 Ram, 1 TB memory because it had a 2-3 hr. battery life, and its AMD 6 processor, I found to be very slow, for the aforementioned purposes, plus I did not need the storage or memory. From what I understand, since sensitive and most other files are not going to be stored in the unit, hacking and other safety violations are relative low on Chromebooks. With that said, Chromebooks are not perfect, and have their limitations (apps., gaming, etc.), but is a value for its price.

Great Laptop
EDIT: I've had this laptop for a few months now and I didn't use it for a few weeks to a month recently. I needed to use it again and I tried to connect to my home wifi. It keeps saying my network is out of range while I'm a few feet away from the modem. I was able to connect to another wifi hotspot, but pages loaded and then stopped loading after a while. I've tried to find the solution online, but no one knows the answer. I'll try to take it to best buy or somewhere they could try to fix it. Until then, I would be cautious about buying a Chromebook because I heard it's something to do with Google. The Chromebook is awesome. It was a little hard getting used to using Google Docs instead of Word, but I only use it to write papers for my college classes which is sufficient enough for me. I have a personal laptop for other everyday use. In fact, I'm glad I got introduced to Google Drive, it saved me. I had an assignment due by midnight on Tuesday, but I wasn't home. I panicked, but then I remembered I have Google Drive on my Android and it's perfect that Google Drive syncs everything with one Google account on any device. Even printing is easy from any computer. I don't have to print through Google Cloud Print because I can open Google Drive on my personal computer and convert the file into .docx and print it from Microsoft Word. The Chromebook is definitely not for everyday use or for people who want to use programs like Photoshop though so people need to keep that in mind. By the way, the best part is that it only weighs 3lb which is a lifesaver for a college student like myself. It definitely beats carrying around my 5lb laptop.
