All-in-1 with Clip to Collar

Doesn't work, chokes the dog and is over priced, don't but one!
I bought this for our recently acquired setter who always pulls when out for a walk. The first time I used it he was fine and he didn't pull, but on the second walk once he'd got used to wearing it he started pulling after about 15 minutes into the walk. This caused the collar to ride up to his eyes and obviously doesn't work with dogs with more pointed noses (despite the manufacturers claim that it 'won’t pull up into your dog’s eyes'). The collar quite is narrow and the more he pulled the more the collar tightened over his windpipe, choking him and making him gasp for air. I therefore had to remove the collar as I though it could injure him and used it as a lead attached to his normal collar. It's a waste of money and is going in the bin!

No more pulling and puppy classes now more manageable
I have a 51/2 month Boxer puppy who is very unruly. He is not aggressive but being a typical Boxer he just wants to say hello to everyone he sees when we are out walking. Unfortunately this means he drags me to catch up with people walking ahead of us and then tries to leap all over them. I also take him to puppy training classes where he dragged me all over the place trying to get to the other puppies. I already have him on a harness as he would choke himself through pulling on a collar and lead. He still makes himself cough by pulling sp hard on the harness. The trainer at the puppy class recommended a Gencon. I started using the Gencon for walks this week. At first he was like a bucking bronco, leaping around trying to get it off. After a couple of days he has calmed down and has been really good on walks as he is not able to drag me around. I used it at class last night and after a bit of leaping about when he couldn't jump all over the other puppies he calmed down and class was not such a horrendous experience as it had been previously. I am very pleased with this item.

I never leave reviews but.....
At almost 6 months pregnant, walking our 2 year old whippet cross was becoming a real issue for me. She would pull, lunge at some dogs and root herself to the spot when she saw other dogs approach or a cat dared to appear! We’ve just got back from our first walk using the Gencon and it was the least stressful walk since we got her nearly a year ago. She tried to claw it off her face for the first few minutes but soon settled down and then walked to heel for almost the entire walk. We saw a cat and she did freeze, but it was easy to break her concentration and carry on walking. We even managed to walk past the bush that she saw a cat in about 3 weeks ago and have had to investigate fully every time we walked past! The instructions included in the pack are not clear at all and I put it on wrong every time I tried to follow them until I watched a YouTube video. Basically, if you remember that as the dog faces you, the black toggle goes behind their right ear, you’ll be able to fit it correctly. This head collar is possibly the best £22 I’ve ever spent, I would recommend it to anyone.

It works!
I have a strong 10 month old English Springer Spaniel who pulls on a lead like the hounds of hell are on her tail. This product has been a life changer. Since day one, she has been calmer, more controlled and although she still tries to pull, its impossible for her to do so as before because of the nose band. She's slowly learning its better to have a slack lead, which is the final goal. Really like that it can also be attached to a collar, so doubly safe for young dogs who spook at everything and anything. Fantastic product.

Has someone swapped my Springer Spaniel?
This was an absolute game changer for me and my 6 month old English Springer Spaniel. We had tried everything, stopping, turning around, not moving until the lead was loose, harness that attaches to the front, another harness that put pressure under his front legs, nothing seemed to be working. We took him to a specialist trainer, who has Springers, and he recommended this product. Hector was walked like a dream ever since, literally no pulling at all. He does try to get it off his noes, but we always take delicious treats out with us to distract him, and it's working well.
