HBW Four-Way Plastic Side Wall/Ceiling Register in White 12" w X 12" h for Duct Opening (Outside Dimension is 14" w X 14" h)

I replaced my old, scratch and chipped register with this new one - it is plastic vs. metal but is on the ceiling and looks super good! Less chance of chipping too! It was delivered the next day, I paid a price way less than other products available at the big box stores. It was also very easy to install. I'm very happy indeed.

Very easy to install with the new screws provided. Fit was perfect. The mechanism to adjust the airflow works very well. It is well designed and well built. Overall, a good value.

Lousy design - difficult to chnage plap setting - needing too much force

It includes an insert on the back which won't work. I only need a plastic face.

I bought 23 year old house in Florida and the air vents were dirty and rusting due to the humid weather. This PVC one replaced the old which will never rust again. It seems more sturdy that the metal one. Installation is okay but you need a drill to drill new holes to fasten properly. I decide to change all air vents to PVC ones especially in Florida if I can find the right size.

I live in FL, the land of humidity! And I'm one of those nuts that just loves the fresh air... in my house, no less. Which means I have my windows opened whenever the weather permits. Unfortunately, in FL that means letting all that humidity into the house along with the fresh breezes. And my metal air conditioning ceiling registers showed how bad humidity and metal get along. I've removed my register covers twice in 14 years, sanded/wire brushes them down and repainted with anti-rust metal paints... only to have them begin to rust through again within a year. When I saw it was again time to work on those covers, I said NO MORE! Came over to buy new ones, never thinking I could get them in plastic! Once I found them, I tried a small one for my bathroom as the metal one was always covered in drops of water from humidity getting in via the bath fan. Hubby put it up, and I haven't had a single drop of water form on that baby since! We then bought more register covers, and they are now in both bathrooms, all 3 bedrooms, the dining room and the living room! They look fantastic, you can't tell their not metal, unless you count the lack of water beadup! Very VERY happy with these registers, I will definitely purchase them again if needed, and I will definitely replace the few remaining metal registers left in the house with these when they begin to rust! If you live in a very humid area, these are the BEST thing for your ceilings/walls! I love 'em!

The Vent was perfect. We live in a 1950's house and I am replacing all the vent covers for an updated look. This was easy to install and looks great. I will be buying more.
