No wires or battery, easy to program, easier to use
Highly recommend. Straight forward, flexible , intuitive, multi-function switch that’s easy to use and looks great.PROS:- Simple, intuitive setup - add and program in Hue App (fully supported as ‘Friend of Hue’ product)- NO wires or batteries to replace- Mounts on wall or in single or multi-gang box using standard wall plates- Pressing up or down allows you to set or change scenes, +/- dim level or turn off.- Each press (up or down) can:— Control up to 3 groups/rooms of lights— Each room can set its own scene— Turn on one group and others off— Long press access separate function (limited to: +/- dim, lights off, or do nothing).- Looks great (see pictures)CONS:- If controlled by Homekit, long press loses dimming capability, but gains ability to control Homekit devices- Not yet supported in iConnect app (at date of review)- Good range, but occasionally I’ve have to press button twice (more common when quickly changing scenes - allow command to process).- Sticks out 17mm or 3/4” when attaching directly to wall. (More than Hue switch - mount in box looks best (see photo)- Long press does not allow turning lights on or setting scenesLack of switch options has hampered Hue light integration for lots of people. Automation is great, but it’s often faster and more convenient to flip a switch. Very true for friends and family who just want light - they don’t want to learn your smart home naming structures. This switch gives you convenience and the increased feature set offered by smart devices.

This actually works exactly as advertised!
WOW! The no batteries needed, wireless switch that works with Hue, actually works!!! The Hue bridge found it right away (I actually have a harder time connecting my Hue light strips than this switch) and it synced it right away. I went into the Hue app and this switch has full functionality that a Hue device would have. I highly recommend this switch over the Hue switch if you want to control 2 hue devices independently of each other

Real switch for smart lights, easy to install.
Voice control is nice... but sometimes you just want to push a damned button. These do it. They do it without power which is amazing. I've replaced two switches with them and love them. Each portion of each rocker switch is configurable, so you can use a single switch to control at least two lights. Highly recommend.

Works as advertised but poor value
The good news is that this product pretty much works as advertised. It was easy to setup and add to the Hue Bridge. It installed nicely in the existing wall junction box. Finally it works as expected controlling two groups of lights in my scenario. But there are caveats.- This item is expensive! Relative to what it is and the cost of Hue smart bulbs, this is a very expensive way to add switch and dimmer capability.- It feels cheap. While I really do like the fact it installs and finishes just like a Decora switch, it is an expensive product.- Each switch works as it should. The dimming capability works as it should BUT, you can only invoke one function at a time. For example, you cannot turn on (or off) both switches simultaneously. I'm sure this is a limitation of Hue but nevertheless, there are times where I would like to turn on/off both switches.- The switches are loud. Each position has a distinctive click. It would be nicer if they were more soft touch.Durability remains to be seen but initially, I really do like the appearance of the finished product.

PLEASE READ... Pertinent Info Provided
Aside from the white switch, these are all RunLess switches in gray, with brushed nickel wall plates. It was hard to find a "smart switch" that fit into existing electrical box. I was wholly ready to get one with batteries (especially) if I could get a decora style switch and just deal with changing batteries sometimes. There were plenty of options out there that took batteries but would not fit a standard electrical box. A FEW that could- then I stumbled upon RunLess wire switches. They said (no batteries), I believe some type of kinetic energy supplied when you click the switch. To put it mildly,, I was highly dubious. Super small mounting depth - too good to be true. I ordered a couple and OMG!! UN- FREAKING - BELIEVABLE!!! I now have about 10 or so of these things. Will be adding another 15-20 as I expand my hue lighting throughout the house. I only have one switch that takes multiple attempts to work...and its the closest to the light it contros as well as my hue bridge, so I assume its defective. I will be contacting the company next week- we shall see how that goes. Anyway, AMAZING product!!!! You can have one single decora style rocker (I use these in areas that guests may use so they are not confused. You can program it to turn on one light, multiple lights, hold to dim or brighten (or make that setting adjusted however and whatever color you may want) with just one click. Now, you also have the option to have 2 rocker switches in the same decora space...now your possibilities are almost endless. Each direction on each rockerncsn control any light or lights you wish, then you have an option to hold down the rocker to perform another function. That's 8 controls, of any light or lights in your house. JUST AMAZING!! They also work flawlessly (with my one exception). If you're on the fence for any reason - forget it and get it. No-brainer. I'm a total techie and have seen nothing like this product. Oh, and by the way, the programming of each switch and whatever press or press and hold couldn't be any easier. I've purchased over $3k in tech gadgets over last couple months- this product from RunLess wire is far and away the best!!
