The media could not be loaded. OK this is my honest review of using it for six months. And Amazon somehow lost my review that I was writing earlier, so I’m not gonna put as much effort into it. I’ll give you the cliff notes version.Sharpness out the box: unless you plan on committing a felony and killing someone, it isn’t gonna do much for anything else. I bought a generic $13 knife sharpener you run it through and use the included knife sharpener for fine-tuning. I did that with all the knives, except for the steak knives, because those are serrated. And they work really well.Quality: if you have to use anything more abrasive than a sponge, you will scratch it it will be noticeably scratched. It would be like if you turned into DJ Chef Boyardee, scratchin’ them records. However, in this instance, it’s not a record. It is a knife. So if you take better care of your knives than me, I think you’ll be fine. Leaving them in water for more than two hours is a really bad idea because the edge will start to rust what sharpening obviously takes off the rust.The block is very nice. It’s generic it feels fine. It’s something to hold your knives in.Scissors is actually really hard to clean and keep rust free but it doesn’t really good job and the knife sharpener I have sharpen scissors so it’s always razor sharp.Honest opinion of these knives is I would 100% buy these again I would also 100% buy a generic knife sharpener to get them to the point where you don’t have to waste 30 minutes a knife to sharpen them with the included sharpener.

They hold an edge, but has a few rust spots after dishwasher, best to clean and hand dry right away.

Love these knifes, sharp, balanced, hold a great edge and the company is amazing. Had an issue with a knife months after purchased and they replaced it no questions asked, and fast.

Definitely worth the price tag pretty quality and not too bad out of the box with a little honing their razor blades... But like others have said what the hell happened to the box thankfully that was the only damage was the box would buy again

Ok so bought 2 knife sets at Costco and was unhappy. So figured shop online and pay little more because you should always pay little more for good pots and pans and your knife sets. I read that had pretty good reviews and was struggling with amount money had to pay for decent knife set. At first was happy until saw some white crusty stuff all over the knives, it did come off but had scrub a little. Also wasn't too sure about weight of them not being knife expert. I think feel there a little lightweight and cheep but I also realize I need to give them a chance. I didn't like too much that the forks that came with for tearing meat were plastic not metal but not biggest deal ever and I wished it had electric sharpener instead of the bar but knew they weren't electric when bought it so theres that. I wish I could afford this 200.00 set saw online but no way in hell could afford that.

If you wanted an excellent all-around household knife set, this is it. German Stainless Steel holds a nice sharp edge. Any professional knife will be forged and have a full tang like this one with riveted scales. Honing and using a steel keep the knives sharp. I am sure this will last an easy 20 years with everyday use. I am very happy. The only downside is there is no filleting knife and I never use a bread knife. I may grind this one down to what I need and there will be a space available on my beautiful wooden block.

This set is the perfect example of a “must have!” Everyone sooner or later has to buy knives so save yourself all the frustration & $ & go ahead & get this set to begin with & you’ll be so happy that you did!!! It has everything you’d need as far as utensils for the kitchen!
