Very cute but Runs very small
Got the 24 months size for my very petite 18 month old and it was way too small! I didn't want to hassle with return so I lost money. Very cute print though and nice thick material so I ordered another, I just wish I would have ordered size 3t the first time. I will give the smaller size one as a gift since I never used it. The Ruffle butt on these is super cute and it's nice that there is snaps on the sides so they are easy to remove. I prefer these over saggy disposable swim diapers under a swim suit. With either one pee still goes through. Matched perfect with the pink shell rash guard top and my baby looked adorable at the beach. There was no irritation to her thighs like other reviewers complained about.

Good product, but runs more than a size too small (very tight in the legs)
I'm giving this 4 stars, because the product itself is good. We used these for our kids when they were little, and they work well. However, I bought a 3T for my just-turned-2 year old who is tall and thin (weighs 23 pounds; stated weight range for sz. 3T is 30-38 pounds), and she complained that the leg holes were too tight and hurt. I believe her, because we stopped using our old 18-24 month pull-on style when she started getting basically rug burn from removing the wet swim diaper! So, we're returning it & basically hoping that she won't poop in the pool this summer! (She's very close to potty trained and tells us when she needs to poop.)

Love these swim pants.
I love these swim diaper pants. My granddaughter who is now 8 months, has been attending "daddy and me" swim classes for a few months. These fit so much better than the disposable swim diapers, that the instructors would rather have the babies wear the swim pants. They are very snug and do not weigh the baby down while she is in the water. I also like the feature of the side snaps as it makes it much easier to take them off after swimming. I had also used the pull up "i play" pants, and when their little bodies are wet, they are very difficult to just slip off. So these are easier to put on and take off. I bought the 9 month size, and she is currently 8 months and about 18 lbs.,and is outgrowing it. I know they should be snug, but they are running a little tight right now.

Better for infants rather than more active toddlers
I ordered 12-18m size for my 7m old. Worked great for her. I would only recommend these for infants though. If your child is a little older and/or more active in the water, these may not be the best choice due to how they fit tightly around their legs. They did not work well on my 2yr old who is constantly jumping/moving/playing in the water. They left red areas on legs where the fabric is tight and rubs the skin. However, my 7m old who just sits or floats in infant floatie has never had a problem with them. I would definitely order a size up as many of the other reviewers have also suggested.

I am thrilled with this item!
I am thrilled with this item! I bought the 24 month size. My child is 21 months old and weighs 23 pounds. It is a great fit. We went swimming last night and it worked exactly as it was supposed to. It retains solids until you can get out of the pool and clean up. It is not supposed to hold in pee. Just solids. We had purchased two packs of Pampers disposable swimmees at $9.99 and with putting our own pool in I started looking for another option. A one time purchase was a much better choice.

Perfect for swim class
These cute little swim diapers were perfect for my daughter's swim class. They require cloth swim diapers and these fit the bill perfectly. They are soft and comfy. It is important to note that like all cloth diapers, they are bulkier than disposable diapers. You may want to take that into consideration if you plan to put this under a regular swim suit. I had my daughter wear this instead of her swim suit bottom with the top (rash guard) of her swim suit. There are snaps along one side to open the diaper to make it easier to get on and off. If your pool or swim class requires 2 pairs of swim diapers like my daughter's does, you may want to consider buying the second pair one size larger.

Works great, but size is small
I really like this, tight fit and keeps the unmentionables in. We had a "code brown" episode and everything was well contained. I think you should buy one size up though. My daughter is in the 5% and at 18 months, the 18-24 month size was way too small. We couldn't button it up. I know it should be snug, but these are overly small. She now wears the 3T size and it fits her fine. I do wish the buttons were up both sides as it is very difficult to get this on a toddler.

Adorable but small! Order up 1-2 sizes!
While the print is adorable and the ruffle is just too cute, this swim diaper is sized incredibly small. My daughter is 20 months, of average size, and wears 2T. After reading the other reviews that the swim diaper is small and to order a size up, I ordered a 3T. Unfortunately, the swim diaper is just too small and pushes in on her waist and legs, so I must return and try a bigger size.FYI: Swim diapers are not meant to be worn other than in the water. Do not put your child in a swim diaper to drive to the pool. Swim diapers do not hold pee (non absorbent), but will "contain" poo as long as you get the kiddo out of the pool right away. If you are holding your child (or driving, walking, stroller-ing), urine will run right out of the swim diaper. This is not a defective swim diaper, this is ALL swim diapers, even the disposable type.
