Worked perfectly for my 1983 GL1100! I've been having a lot of bad luck with this bike and tried to repair the last starter with no luck. I was apprehensive about this one just because of my luck but I got it and it appears to be exactly like the one I removed. Exact fit on my ‘83 Honda GL1100. From start (no pun intended) to finish, removing the old one and replacing it with this one took roughly 15-30 minutes. It might’ve been even less but I kept setting my tools down in different places and having to find them. :)
