Works wonderfully! Quick, easy, reliable and durable!
Great compact little stove. Great value for item, (especially for the price)! Here are the features that I love: reliable to use, versatility, stainless steel and rugged, it has a wind protector for the flame, lightweight AND compact. You can take it virtually anywhere. Wind resistance with the flame guard.Oh yeah, And the feature of the quick-removable cook top (For easy cleaning)! Wonderful! Well thought-out Design!THANK YOU GAS-ONE, you are awesome!FEATURES THAT I WISH IT HAD (OTHER MODELS DO HAVE/ My Fault): Flexibility to use other forms of gas (L.P.) or other sources of butane.

Better than expected
Bought this burner because we needed one smaller than my double Coleman burner for our kayak camping/fishing trip to Arkansas this fall. Saving space was a major issue and this burner worked out perfect. I wasn't expecting it to exceed my expectations, but this is now one of my go to camp kitchen appliances. I actually leave it in my Jeep ready to go. Sets up perfect on my drop down tail gate table in my Jeep. I have a kettle that sits perfect on the burner, it is a little tricky with my smaller pots. I did buy a little metal grate to use with the smaller Stanley camp pots. It boils enough water for my Stanley coffee press and also enough water for a Mountain house meal. Boils super fast. Love how it ignites with the pilot light and I don't need a lighter. The bottom does get super hot, so be careful what you set it on. You have to give it time to cool off, before putting it back into the plastic case. I do wish the carry case was made a little more heavy duty, however it is pretty light weight due to the cheaper plastic. Great item for car camping and kayak camping. This burner was also a huge help when we were out of power during the hurricane and basically had to camp inside the house. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice stove
Fits perfect in the lil drawer of my camper van just what I wanted and the bottom does get a lil warm as to be expected. I just keep a ceramic tile under it when in use

Got it to Work!!!
Canister would not lock into place! I followed the photos in the other 1 star review. I installed the canister as directed and push down the lock lever and it will not click into place. I am using a Coleman butane canister purchased at Walmart. Frustrated!June 1, 2015 I got the stove to work. So I took the canister out and saw that the canister lever lock would work after I released all the gas in the lines by turning the control dial to ignite. This morning after having a break and determined to troubleshoot the problem I put the canister into the stove after making sure there was no butane gas pressured in the line and it worked! So my best guess is that there was too much gas pressure from the bottle into the stove and this would not allow the lever to lock the canister in place. In the instruction it says to using only GASONE canisters but I had bought a Coleman canister. I turned the stove off and on a few times and disengaged the canister to further test it and everything seems to work okay. I even made morning coffee on it with my mocha pot. I am changing my review to 4 stars unless something else goes wrong. I plan on using this for camping so I could cook at a lower temp than my white gas stove. I also considered this stove as it would be more convenient in firing up to make a quick meal or a coffee. The stove appears to be solidly built especially the top where you place your pots. This stove is good for the smaller camping pots ( but not the tinest backpacking solo pots) and I also plan to use it for my GSI pressure cooker as it seems to have a very sensitive flame controller. I will add further reviews as needed.

They Hit The Nail
Yes! GasOne hit the nail in the head and got it right all the way with this jewel GasOne GS-800 which I wouldn't call 'for emergency.'No, I wouldn't. I use it every day to cook skillet meals and it works every time flawlessly. Inserting the cartridge is simple, but the procedure to insert the canister requires attention. It should not be done watching Monday Night Football. Understandably, the parts were not made for War Tank standards, therefore, treat them kindly.GasOne was very wise making a portion of the canister to stick out of the stove's body. In doing so, GasOne gives us a stove with a small footprint. Once inside the plastic case provided, the stove is not obtrusive and fits almost everywhere. This GasOne GS-800 is so efficient, so small, and so convenient to find a place where to keep it that I would pay more money if I had to replace it.Shhhh... do not tell the Seller 🤫!

Pay attention to detail when loading the butane cartridge
Buyer beware. I was very excited to receive this stove only to be let down. I have tried repeatedly to get the butane canister to stay in place, but it keeps popping out. Therefore, I cannot keep it lit. I will be returning this stove.Update: So I got the replacement stove. Thanks, Amazon, for your swift service. The stove works . . . my brother made it work for me. The technique for loading the butane canister is a little different than the larger stoves. The larger stoves have support in the back which helps the canister stay in place. The small stove does not. So the manufacturer has put in place a metal support, and you must put the top of the canister IN FRONT OF the metal support so that the canister will engage properly. I will provide another update after I use the stove a few times. But my hunch is that this baby will rock. I want to use this as an emergency stove in the event I am stranded in my vehicle and cannot return home right away. The storms in my state knock down trees and power frequently, thus impeding traffic. I got stranded recently, by the way, for many hours. I have a small stove in my car that I attach to a round butane/propane canister. But I had my dog with me, and I felt l should have used a stove with larger support. I believe this stove will fulfill this need. We'll see how this goes . . . I'm giving this three stars because I have not used it yet. I will rate again as soon as I brew coffee on it.
