My DT 880 Pros no longer force me to listen to them...
If you own a set of Beyerdynamic headphones that use these and have had them for longer than a year, do not hesitate. You need this.I've owned my pair of DT 800 Pros for about two and a half years now, and had been noticing how gross looking my headphones had become. There was hair sticking out of the foam in the earcup and the velour had taken on a nasty brown color and had flattened almost completely. This is the only thing I've not liked about these headphones. I don't know what it is about the material but it really does not like the oil on skin. Now that I've replaced them with these, I remember why I was so enamored by these cans when I first got them. I'm not going to spout bull about how good my headphones sound now; far as I can tell or care it's the same, but not having the driver smashed up against my ear is great. My ears have room to breathe again, making my favorite headphones much more pleasant to listen to.These ear pads are the real deal, straight from Beyerdynamic, and include new foam inserts to go over the drivers as well. These are actually much better quality than the originals, although I don't know if that's because they were designed for different headphones or not. They have a very nice soft fabric-like material attached to one side which is a very nice touch. These may seem expensive, and it sucks that the pads that came with my headphones crapped out, but regardless, these are definitely worth their price.

Worth replacing old pads regularly
Replaced my original DT 880's (80ohm) pads after 8 years of near daily use. I bought the grey pads. Ridiculous I didn't do it sooner. The headphones sound much better (clearer highs, reduced low end muddiness), are much more comfortable, and got rid of any notion that I needed new headphones. Like others have said, the pads are a bit of a pain to get on, but oh well. Took me about 10 min. Totally worth it. The new pads lift the headphones away from your ears compared to old flattened ones, and thus, to me, the original, like-new sound profile is restored. They're a bit quieter because of this, which I didn't expect.Overall, probably a little overpriced, the original design makes installation annoying, but in the end kudos to beyerdynamic for having replaceable pads and making a quality pair of headphones that are build to last.

Fits AKG 240s
I have a pair of AKG k240s' and I saw a post on the internet that someone had modded their pair with these pads. I am confirming that this is possible. It takes a little work to put on because they are pretty snug, but they do fit. If you haven't changed the pads on your k240s, there's a small cutout section on the rim of the plastic shell around the driver. You can use this cutout section to "screw on" these pads. It will take some time and patience to do so.As far as the sound goes, initially you will probably notice that the sound-stage opens up a little. Collaterally, you will probably also notice your base volume has dropped some. Never fear however, after breaking the headphones in, (by wearing them), for about 4-8 hours the foam will compress and you will have nice balanced sound again. I can't say for certain, but after the break in period they might even sound better.Oh also, they make the k240s even MORE comfortable. I didn't even think it was possible but these feel great!

OEM replacement = great brand
Bought DT990 in 2021, and the ear pad finally wears off enoughThis is a good replacement. No need to take the risk from buying from a 3rd party (unless you know what you want)

OEM - perfect fit
Just do it. The price is justified. Restored my 990 PROs to like-new fit.

Worth the money if your headphones are more than 2-3 years old
Solid earpads, fairly easy to install, definitely worth the money vs going third party. Replacing these made it so that my ear was no longer touching against the driver. It's worth it for the comfort alone but the sound did improve as well so that's an added bonus.
