Solid weigh, arrived perfectly
I read some reviews that said it came broken- mine was perfect. As for the actual cooking possibilities, excellent. nothing stuck, my chawanmushi came out perfect! I do wish they included a recipe since I had to search- but still :) Very happy with it and now am having wonderful breakfasts :D

Bottom plate came in cracked
Decent cups, one of the plates came it cracked. Donβt really need it, but poor packing job on an obvious delicate item. Meh

Adorable and functional
The beauty and effectiveness of the Stoneware Steamed Egg Cup is marvelous. Just gave 2 as gifts to relatives. THE BEST WAY TO COOK EGGS. These cups have lids, which is necessary for the steaming process, which makes the eggs oh so delicious. Add cheese, rice, sweet peppers or whatever you think of.I love looking at my MASSJOY Japanese Style Stoneware Steamed Egg Cup. Display in an open cabinet.

Not what I thought it would be

A lovely product
Having a spoon and saucer is very useful. My only negative would be that it's a bit small for a single (medium sized) egg chawanmushi.

Chawanmushi (Japanese Steamed Egg Custard) possible
Very well bubble-wrapped inside brown boxes. I soaked the plates, cups, lids, spoons in warm soapy water and then wash/rinse/dry before first use. Have had a successful attempt at making one cup of chawanmushi in a hybrid oven appliance without the plate, lid or spoon - I covered the cup with a layer of aluminium foil. I am happy with this purchase.
