Clarks Tyrex Ride Boys Infant School Shoes

I have realised over the course of my 6 year old's young life that there is no shoe out there that is made to be robust enough for him. Therefore when I review shoes I bear this in mind and review them based on how they compare to other similar shoes he has owned. Overall these Clarks shoes did ok (better than his more expensive similar Startrite ones last year), they lasted him just a tiny bit over a term of wear every day in school (plus walking a mile each way to school). After that the insoles started to fall apart, I tried to remove them and replace with new insoles (he hadn't actually outgrown the shoes) but sadly they had been industrial strength glued in so that couldn't happen. The uppers were ok still, they had slightly come away from the sole a small amount on the one shoe.They weren't easy to clean shoes, my son seems to attract mud and it was virtually impossible to remove all of the dirt from within all of the tiny rubber dinosaur patterns around the shoe, so after the first week of wear they never looked particularly smart.

excellent quality, ideal for school shoes with a bit of fun mixed in to the style. Really sturdy, plenty of wear, expect these will last till my son grows out of them in a year, then my next son and will still have plenty of wear to pass on to someone else or give to charity shop. Well worth the money paid for them.

My boy still hasn't used them at school but they look amazing and seem very sturdy. I shall come back and update the review if I feel they don't last the year but I'm confident they will.
