IPCW CWRS-88CK Chevrolet Pickup Steel Fleetside Roll Pan with License Plate Hole and Light

We are in the process of restoring my grandfather's GMC. First step of many. Hardest part was removing the old steel bumper. After removing the old bumper we had to align and drill new holes. Once all body is done it will be painted.

Heavy gauge metal but packaging leave a little to be desired. Came in with a small dent. Does not fit the lower body lines of the truck and will require cutting and welding to make match. maybe it works on early ops better but not a bolt on for later model.

I don’t see how you could use this as a bolt on. There’s not enough material to connect it on the lower part. I welded mine in and after some grinding and body filler, it looks great and is very solid. I also realized you loose access to the spare tire winch hole (probably the wrong verbiage there). Not a big deal for me, but worth noting. Overall it’s a great bang for the buck.

This thing is HD. The roll pan that I received was at least 16GA stamped steel, for the price i was expecting something that was approximately the thickness of a front fender and flimsy, What I received is at least twice as thick as the OE front fenders and would be very difficult to dent unless you back into something. I am very pleased with the quality of this rollpan.

The fitment wasn't the most perfect, but I colormatched my two tone and it came out pretty sharp, had it on for a little over a month. still undecided how to attach it to the bed on the bottom.

Bottom was dented. Took a little fabrication to make it match up with my truck. Not 100% sure it was the roll pan since i was not the original owner of the truck ( maybe an accident or hard landing could of tweaked the bed.).

It was was pretty simple, easy to do. Only thing is if you don't want to bottom of the roll pan flopping around. You will either have to weld it or do like I did and make some brackets so the bottom would solid as the top

Awesome quality. This roll pan is made with thick quality sheet metal that mimics OEM sheet metal. If this was an option from the factory this is how it would come. Very sturdy and well made. Lined up perfectly. I recommend this specific brand and model number to my friends.
