Helps to add beneficial bacteria
Adds back beneficial bacteria when you do water changes. It helps out beta not get so stressed and adds back a balance after cleaning a tank.

It works and it's so easy to use!
I am confused by other reviews saying that the balls didn't dissolve, because these balls dissolve instantly, so I'm not sure what they are talking about! (Did they not remove them from the packaging?? lol)I initially got these because my tank water was looking a little "green" from all the plants I have and even though I was changing water often, it just wasn't looking crystal clear. I added one ball into my 7 gallon tank and the next day it looked so clean! I can't believe the difference this stuff makes! So happy!I also added one to my other 5 gallon betta tank and it looks amazingly clear now too. Great product.

Had a cloudy snail/shrimp tank with not a high bioload!
This was so helpful for my 10 gallon tank I only have snails and dwarf shrimp and I kept getting cloudy water even with 50% water changes once a week and complete vacuum every week. I actually got a sample of this from my local pet supplies plus store and after only 2 days I noticed a HUGE different in water clarity! It was completely clear!!! So I did notice to keep my 10 gallon clear I need 3 of the balls so next time I will just get the 30 Gallon balls. If anyone wonders how stocked my tank is : 9 piano snails they are all med to small snails and hardly ever move! 5 mystery snails 1 large the rest med to small size, 3 super tiny bladder snails, and 12 neocardinia shrimp who do not add much to bioload! Not really sure why my water would get cloudy it was not very bad but not crystal clear like I like it! WIth these balls they have made my cleaning and up keep so much better:) I will forever use them!

Don’t Seem To Dissolve
I was under the impression these dissolved immediately when dropped in the water. They do disappear so I thought nothing of it. When draining to change water they’re still there, just sitting on bottom weeks later. Do they work? Maybe, I don’t know.

I like what it is supposed to do. I have not lost a fish in months, so I am saying yes, it is helping.
