Good for bookcase speakers.
I have 2 for rear left/right surround sound bookcase speakers and 2 for front left/right bookcase speakers. Adjustable up to 47". Easy to assemble, speaker wire goes inside pole with enough room under slightly raised base for wire. Mine are on low carpet and are sturdy, no wobbles unless you move it. Information says it will support weight up to 30 lbs. My speakers are 10 lbs with the stand set at 34" height. The heavier the speaker the lowest height would be best. They have a clamp systems on the stand, requires a phillip screwdriver to adjust grip on speaker base. I like them.

speaker stands
Very happy with the stands. They are currently holding my KLH Beacon rear surround speakers. Would recommend to anyone looking for an adjustable speaker stand.

Happy with these speaker stands
Nice, heavy and adjustable. I almost bought a fixed height pair of speaker stands for my home surround speakers.Saw that these were adjustable and took a chance on them. I'm glad I did. My surround speakers are about 10" x 13" and the adjustable side clamps hold them nicely and they also you can adjust the tilt of them as well. I can't comment on running speaker cable up through the pole, but I see you can do it (I'm using the Amphone wireless amp\receivers so I don't have cable runs for the surrounds). Solid product.

Highly recommended!
These speaker stands solved a big problem for me. They are designed for smaller size speakers, and the small size base made it possible to fit in the available space. Also, the wide range of height adjustment was important. The units are stable and don't wobble or rattle. They just stand there unobtrusively and do their job. I call that "success". Highly recommended!

High Tech, No Frills
My brother and I built our home theaters at the same time. He went with a projector on the ceiling, a painted-on screen and flush mounted speakers. I went with a lot more presence in the room: a wall-mounted 75-inch Samsung LED panel, a big black lacquered RBH 1010 sub, and semi-vintage KEF reference speakers on stands and wall brackets. I used these VideoSecu stands for my mains and their matching wall brackets (excellent) for my surrounds.Having my front L+R channels on stands means when I go for some traditional stereo listening, I can futz around with placement until I get a proper 3D stereo image, which the KEFs are truly capable of. There is virtually no inwall configuration that can give you that true stereo sound. It's a convenience move. I spent less on my display than my brother did on his projector, and the money he spent building his screen and his DIY equipment closet under the stairs was more than the extra I spent on upgraded sound and superior speakers. At the end of the journey it's the VideoSecu speaker solutions and the wall-mounted flat panel that make the statement in my room. His room is dominated by...nothing except a nice projector up on the ceiling at the back. So it's definitely more multi-purpose while mine is obviously set up for movies, gaming and more serious music listening. The statement these stands make about my whole system reminds me of Han Solo: she may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.

They work but why wood screws for speakers?
Probably could have found better stands but these work. You can swivel the head of these so the speaker can be set up in all sorts of different angles. But in order to mount the speakers to the stand correctly you need to screw the provided screws through the stand into the speaker which I'm not doing to my expensive bookshelf speakers. That's the only thing I'm not a fan of, hence the 3 stars.

Company's Return Policy As Important As Its Products.
Update (6/1/16):Unfortunately, again, have not heard back from company.---As stands were not satisfactory (for larger speakers), proceeded to return them. However, discovered shipping and handling would (again) be 1/2 cost of items. (and no guarantee in company's e-mail my account would be credited)---Recently purchased a set for smallish Denon SC-M40 speakers, included in company's RCD-M40 CD Receiver mini system. Realistically, stands were OK but not sufficiently stable. (lightweight, inherent in an adjustable and swivelable design) Thankfully, company's customer service readily sent a set of tabs not included in delivery.Shortly thereafter, upgraded to KEF Q100 bookshelf speakers. (larger, placed more of a load on stand's platforms) Unfortunately, speakers then sat precariously atop, in a wobbly fashion. But, "you get what you pay for." These cost $36.99. (a fair price) Luckily, upgraded to Ultimate Support MS9036B stands. (also on Amazon, $215.99)Quite a price difference though each component, part, piece of Ultimates weighed more than either of VideoSecu 2s! (and Ultimates have Limited Lifetime Warranty) Now, speakers sit snugly atop. (with no worries)

Wobbly
These stands arrived with the base very bent so that the shaft is unlevel and wobbly. The brackets that hold the speaker could be taller and include some grippy material. I'm not very confident in it holding my rather large and heavy studio monitors but it is doing the job while leaned up against my desk. The base is too small even if it were flat to be stable while extended much past the minimum.
