Si pudiera darle 10 estrellas se las diera.Este convertidor me ayudo ya que tenia un año sin poder usar mi equipo de sonido Bose y cambie mi tv a uno moderno de la marca Samsung y el mismo no tenia entra AV, compre varios convertidor de AV a HDMI y ninguno funciono, hasta que encontre este de AV a OPTICO, y casualmente mi television tenia salida OPTICO y inmediatamente desde que llego lo probe y me funciono a la perfeccion.Recomiendo el producto si quieres pasar de AV a OPTICO.

May not include the required power supply.
Did not come with a power supply as advertised. The supplied USB to barrel connector cable works but I had to rummage around to ensure I had a properly sized 5v supply.I am using this on an older Samsung multimedia monitor. The internal speakers are fine but do not produce loud enough audio when viewing OTA broadcast TV. I still have to crank up the receiver with the new input but better speakers go a long way. Volume control is now done through the receiver and not the monitor.The attached screenshot comes from today's listing of the item [16AUG25].

Quickly becomes defective
Life expectancy of a bug.Takes in data from Coax and converts it to Analog out. Worked for about a week. Then it started giving a THUMP at 0.63hz for no reason. Have confirmed it's the DAC by using different gear and different supplies. I was iffy about this because of the low price. I should have listened to my inner voice -- this thing is junk

Just works! Easy to use!
Easy to hook up with supplied optical cable to my Sony TV for audio and USB cable to Sony TV USB port for power. Then the two RCA connection to the stereo system provides clean and line level audio feed. Just works! The item arrived is just like pictured in Amazon description. The only situation you will encounter could be, there are many similar and even the same picture products on Amazon, which one to buy? I say get the least expensive one with good shipping date and provider. They are likely exactly the same thing.

Works like it should after all.
Changing my review. I had problems with this giving a reverberating sound and I tried many things to fix it. TURNS OUT, all I needed to do was change a setting on my TV to PCM. Now it works great. I don't have to invest into a brand new sound system. Very happy now!

use it to convert optical from tv for old set of 2.1 logitech speakers, to my surprise , sounded much better than computer sound chip, .bounces, it came with optical cable and small usb cable,
