Made extension cords from worn out vacuum cleaners. Cut cord off cleaner next to the cleaner. Added plug in and had a 30 foot cord. I made four of them.

I am surprised by all the glowing reviews of the Leviton 102-WP 016-00102-0WP 15 Amp, 125 Volt, Cord Outlet. I found it awkward to wire using 16 gauge lamp cord. If you intend to wrap the wire around the screw, as I see it, you have two choices - 1) Remove the screw and loop the wire or 2) Tin the wire and shave down the plastic. I took route #2. Once the plastic around the screw was trimmed and the wire tinned with solder it was easy to guide the wire as needed.I used the Leviton cord outlet to construct a cable to power 12 volt E26 based LED bulbs using a 12 VDC source.

I like the connecting terminals they are a secure terminal connection most important... recommended

I use these to make light duty extension cords from power cords off dead electronics. These are perfect for that task. I either dismantle the dead unit or chop the cord close to the housing then strip the wires back to mount this.

Convenient, easy to use. Helps a lot to revive lengthy, bút accidentally cut-off cord
