Ballistic Cases are the Best Cases out There
I've previously owned one of these Ballistic cases for my LG G2, Nexus 4, and iPhone 4S and in all three cases I was able to resell them for top dollar because they looked "mint." I drop my phones all the time, almost to the point of being ridiculous, so a case like this is a necessity. It only takes one drop to ruin a phone, and you can ask my Samsung Galaxy S why I switched to this kind of case. While Ballistic cases aren't really the most "pretty" cases, they do have a certain military ruggedness to it that I personally enjoy the look of. They have a mix of hard plastic that, while not "sticky" to the hands, do have some low level gripability based on the small holes on the back. I find myself using the camera hole on occasion, which I really don't like, but that is more of a factor of the size of the Nexus 6 than the actual makeup of the case. For those concerned, it does not keep the Motorola bump in the middle of the phone, but as a guy who 100% invests in protection, I don't really care how pretty my phone is, as long as it is working and safe. What really sets apart the case are the strength of the plastic covering and the large size of the bumpers on the corners. This is, by far, the most protective case I have found and I never have to worry about my phone breaking from any reasonable fall. Even if it was a very high fall, the bumpers absorb so well, I have confidence that they may even save the phone from that. This case is that good. It goes on easily with a simple two piece design, but unlike my previous cases it is almost "too tight" in the corners; meaning that where the plastic back meets the bumpers it can come undone and you have to pull back on the bumpers to get the case to snap in again. While it is an irritation, it has only happened three times to me, and it is actually reassuring how tightly everything fits together.I can not recommend this case enough. I can't speak towards the more intensive Maxx case because I don't want to have covers over the charger and headphone jack areas, as that can mess with the usability over time. Even at the high end of the spectrum, it's worth it. I've never paid over $20 for one of these cases and I have 4 straight phones without a scratch to show for it. For reference, I also purchased my wife a MPERO IMPACT X if you want a two piece design with smaller bumpers and more personality; however, I originally purchased here a Supcase Unicorn Beetle case and I really did not like it. It was 100% plastic without the soft rubber bumper material, felt cheap, and was incredibly slippery. I'd avoid it if you can, because it is more expensive than either of the other two cases, and while it may offer slightly more protection than the MPERO case, if you like the soft rubber protection feel you'll end up sending it back and having that headache.

Ballistic has yet delivered another fantastic case.
My first Ballistic case was the Ballistic Shell SG Case for the Nexus 4, I was really worried about my phone because it has glass front and back. During my time having said case, I must have had dropped my phone at least 20 times in two years. Guess how many scratches and broken glasses I've had? NONE.Now, I recently purchased my new Nexus 6 and knowing how well the previous case from Ballistic protected my previous device, it was a no brainer for me to buy one for my new phone. My first impressions after putting it on my Nexus were that I finally felt secure again, I feel the same degree of confidence with this rugged case that I felt when using my previous case on my former phone. Fortunately, I haven't yet dropped my phone, but I'm pretty sure this case will deliver just like or better than my previous one did when protecting my device from myself. It is truly a fantastic product which I highly recommend if you're scared of damaging your investment by dropping your phone. Each of the corners of this case feel reinforced enough that you get the feeling that it will do its job against the inevitable. After all that being said, there are also a few negatives. In my opinion, these will not outweigh the pro's.- As it is a rugged bulky case, it makes your enormous phone even bigger, so you gotta be prepared to use jeans with really big pockets otherwise it won't fit.- This case is a two-part case, the exterior one consisting in plastic and the interior one with the reinforced corners which is made of some sort of rubber. If you read up until here it does not sound like a con, I wouldn't consider it one since this is exactly what you are looking for to protect your new Nexus 6. However, what I did not like about the first few days with this case was that the rubber part (the one with the corners) had (still has but smells less) a very strong rubber/tire (as in a new car's tire) smell, strong enough that when taking the case off it left some residual smell on the back of my phone.- Can't really complain about this one but I will list it anyway as a last con. Qi charging is rather difficult and loses efficiency (less battery charging % per hour) with this case on, I assume the bulkyness of this case does not let the phone have a proper contact with my charging pad from Anker. That's all.EDIT: Some pictures for reference on how it looks.

Great case
I've used Ballistic cases on my phones for the better part of a decade now. The products are stellar, providing ample protection to keep my devices looking pristine. I've used them for my SGS2, SGS4, and now my Nexus 6.This particular case may be the best one yet. The buttons on the side are essentially recessed within the outer shell casing, which I love. No accidental tapping of the buttons when I hold my phone in landscape to play games. Thanks in part from some convenient engineering on the Motorola side, the headphone and charger openings have ample protection even at the thinnest spot of the inner rubber casing, while still providing a ton of space for any plug.

A pretty slim case for a very large phone.
Nice case, has audio and charging port dust-plugs, that's nice. It pretty slim case, easy to disassemble and assemble. I haven't dropped my phone yet but I think the phone would stay in the case, I sure hope.

Kept my phone safe.
I now have a different phone but when I had my Nexus 6, this case saved it countless times. Prior to this case, I had shattered my screen at least 5 times and repaired it as many times. I was not cheap and I would have gotten a new device instead of paying for a new screen each incident however my service at the time (Google Fi) only work with the phone they sent me. This case was amazing. I would suggest it to anyone who asks.

Ballistic makes the best phone cases
Ballistic makes the best phone cases, and have saved more than a couple from certain destruction. I've taken to always buying one of their cases before I get a new phone, because I always seem to drop a phone within the first week of owning it.

Indestructify your Nexus 6
Great value and protection. Pretty much the equivalent of an otterbox case for the Nexus 6 - 2014.Kind of wished I had paid the extra 10 bucks to get the dustcaps and hip holster included (the slightly more expensive model), but I'm happy regardless since I don't have to worry about dropping my puurdy phone.Only thing I noticed is that the rubber lips at the top and bottom between the speaker grill and the earphone jack and the bottom speaker and the charging port, respectively, is a little flexible (not a big deal) but it does take a lot of abuse going in/out of pockets. Therefore dust does tend to collect quite a bit near the speaker cavities which requires a little maintenance/cleaning every so often. However, that's a super specific issue and not a fault of by the manufacturer - maybe it's my pants.Great case overall though. Would highly recommend the brand. Had one for my last phone (Galaxy SII) and it's practically still mint today.Awesome durability.

Very satisfied with my purchase
First impression: The case is REALLY bulky. My phone no longer fits in my shirt pockets. However, that is offset by the rubber corners adding enough grip that my phone no longer falls out of the pockets of my slacks. Where previously the phone would fall out about once a week, it has stayed put now.I chose this case because of reviews. I wanted something that would keep my phone safe, and I'm glad I went with this one. It's a no-nonsense item: Rubber for shock absorption, and a soft touch plastic shell that clips onto the back and sides to hold everything in place. The plastic is uniform in color with the logo embossed, which means that there's no paint to flake off (an issue reported with other brands). Other reviews mentioned an initial strong odour from the rubber - That was not a problem in my case. The cutouts for the camera, microphone, headphone and USB jacks, and the buttons are all in the appropriate place. The buttons have good click feedback. The top right rubber corner is molded to avoid obscuring the front-facing camera.
