Hydrofarm CAOZNB CAOZN1 Ozone Generator Replacement Bulb, 5500 cu

As far as I can tell, this UV replacement bulb is the same that was installed from the factory in my CAP unit, a Blueprint unit and a generic no name that looks like a white OZN-1. Same output as the original. I've ordered these a couple of times and the bulb life is equal to the original. It's an easy install, a couple of screws and then plug and play.

This product was as described! After replacing the bulb on my Ozone Generator, I received immediate results.

I will probably purchase this again, but won't rate it as 5-Stars, since it's not the same as the original bulb. In the original bulb that comes with the unit, there is a black gasket on either end of the bulb itself. This is what makes it fit inside the CAP generator. This replacement bulb fits the 4-prong plug in, but will be unsecured and flop around inside of unit. If you have the original bulb, you can fix this by carefully sliding those gaskets off and placing them on replacement bulb - so you should be good, especially if you bought a new CAP unit. However, for customers that buy a used CAP generator, especially one that doesn't already have a light bulb, they are probably going to think either something is wrong with the CAP generator itself where the bulb fits in or they might think the bulb doesn't quite fit right. I don't think the unit should run with the bulb not fitting right. So anyway, bulb isn't exact match but can be easily adapted by using gaskets from original bulb.

I agree with someone else who wrote they didn't think it worked as well. I think it doesn't work at all. The bulb lights up but the odor left by the original bulb was distinct and in an hour the house smelled better. After 15 hours I could not tell any difference even after leaving the house for hours and coming back. I will not order this particular bulb again but will order through a different source.

one came broke and the other worked for bout two months, not sure if product is bad or company is sending out that way and dont know it, anyways
