Bought as a gift for a gamer
Bought this as a gift for a computer gamer after some research on gameplay, came on time in excellent condition, the recipient was very pleased as ni no kuni is one of his favourite games of all time. Recommended

Fun, quick and also fun.
I came across Ni No Kuni II while searching for a board game to suit my partner and I; I like larger games with intertwined mechanics and player discussion vital to success, my partner prefers quicker games that can be played in a known amount of time. Ni No Kuni II is the perfect middle ground for us. A game with straightforward mechanics that necessitates team play to win, but that takes place over a set number of rounds, preventing you from possibly playing over an evening and having to finish the game the next. My only caveat is the lack of boss diversity; the two included in the game are both interesting and individual, however more options would strengthen the game's replayability.

Easy to understand and simple
This is a fun little co op game to play with cute artwork and easy to follow rules. The rulebook is well written too

Beautifully presented game, obviously great theme, deadened by dull gameplay.
Ni No Kuni 1 & 2 are my favourite games. So I was super pumped when I found out a Ni No Kuni themed board game came out. This game is good looking, reasonably high quality. It actually feels pretty good value for money. That’s where the fun ends. The game is dull, easy and frankly a bit of a chore to play. Strangely, the game feels really rushed. There are loads of things available to buy and upgrade but you don’t get given enough turns to do anything significant. The game is however “somewhat” balanced (although towards the easier side) despite this flaw.I would only buy this if you’re a big Ni No Kuni fan, even then, don’t expect much longevity or replayability.

Great fun
Its a lot of fun and easy to get set up and started. Found it a little easy to we used both the handicaps given by the different boss cards. It's great fun my only gripe is that the quests don't have the stories on them but that's no problem I printed them off from the Internet

If you're a Ni No Kuni fan then you'll like this
This is a quality board game themed on the video game. All the components of the set are of high quality and this includes the playing board. Sealable bags are enclosed to store the set afterwards neatly in the box after play. Its for 1 - 4 players, as a multiplayer game it is great fun with it being very co-operative and going on quests to defeat monsters to build up buildings which eventually you will use to defeat the bad guy. However the game consists of only 5 rounds making this rather a short gameplay lasting for 30 to 40 minutes or so.The solo version is a bit irritating as you are very limited in what you can achieve which is not a lot unfortunately.Overall its a good game, includes a nice informative and to the point instruction booklet which will get you started really fast, the illustrations are fantastic and the game has good tactical judgements. Worth buying if your into this themed gameplay.

Not too challenging to understand
We've loved learning how to play this game. My 11.5 year old began with it, taking a look to see how to play and got to grips with the rules. He then showed me and we had a great game whilst we understood it better and we both agreed that it was nice to have an expected ending to the game so we could find half an hour for example rather than an eternity like a game of monopoly could go on. It isn't overly complicated to understand although we are actually still getting familiar with it. Nice game and a lovely looking box/presentation so it could make a nice present.

Interesting game
This is a very interesting game. My family and I enjoyed playing it very much. We often play board games together as a family. It is usually Monopoly or Pictionary and although they are great games, it can sometimes take hours to finish the game. This game appealed to me because we can work together strategically. It is very different to the other games that we usually play. It can be played within half an hour, so it's ideal for when we do not have time for a long board game.
