Beatrice Home Fashions Channel Chenille Bedspread, Queen, Ivory

This is a nice, generously sized bedspread however it is MUCH thinner than portrayed in the Beatrice advertisement photos. It looks fluffy in those photos. It is not a fluffy bedspread and imo will require an additional blanket if used in winter.Despite that, it is subtlety elegant, pretty good quality and washed up nicely. The shams are of equally good quality. Some other comments complained of shedding. I observed quite a bit of lint in the lint trap (similar to a load of fluffy towels) however no significant shedding or fuzz otherwise.Overall pretty happy with the purchase. I paid $70 for a queen size, which seems like a pretty fair price for a set, however, if you want the shams, they are not included and are at an additional cost of about $15 each.I have a pillow top mattress, low profile box spring and a frame with rollers (total height of about 26 inches). This bedspread was plenty large and long enough, almost a bit too long actually, but I suppose this is so that it can be tucked in over the pillows, old school style.

The size was great for my tall bed. Looks nice but it’s so thin I could see my sheets through it. It’s also not soft even after washing. Looks nice but not comfy to sleep with. It looks much thicker in the pictures. It’s more like a sheet. Mine is ivory.

I bought the Cream color and it's really pretty. Most people will, probably, want to know that the length is based on using the top to fold over a pillow(s). It is far too long for anything other than this type of bed making. I like that and I thought others might want to know .Thanks!

Overall, this spread is very nice! The colour was just right for my needs and the weight is perfect for florida

Maybe I didn’t read the description, but I thought it was a quilt. I know it said light weight, but it is almost see through. Definitely just for decoration and not to sleep with. The underside of the blanket is very rough and scratchy but it looks nice. Very big.

Been suffering through Florida summers and hot flashes. Remembered we used these kinds of bedspreads in hot weather when I was a kid. Surprisingly hard to find! Washed it with a good amount of fabric softener, not as light as I thought it would be, the washer had trouble spinning it out. The fabric seems to be good quality and the fit is good. *We have a Purple 2 bed on top of an adjustable base. Super excited to see if this helps me sleep easier at night. Also, hubby approved. He was fond of the comforter that matches the shams.

We are using this bedspread as a couch cover. It works perfectly! It has a classic look that would look nice on a couch or on a bed. We have them on both our full size couch (king size bedspread) and our love seat (queen size bedspread). The other thing that is nice about this bedspread is that it does not have a chemical smell. It came with a natural cottony smell that, after one wash, is barely noticeable. Keep in mind, like with all chenille, it will have a lot of lint. After a few washes it will stop linting a ton in the dryer. I recommend cleaning the lint screen ever 15 - 20 minutes the first couple of times that you wash/dry it because that's how often the lint screen will become full.

I got a very heavy comforter as a gift. But, it was way to heavy. I found this, and even my husband liked it. Only problem I have is, dog jumped up on it and left prints. I have washed, bleached and the prints won't come out. I just toss a handmade quilt on the bottom and it covers them up.

okay, a little thin and supposed to be queen size but seems too large, maybe because the corners aren't rounded it doesn't hang nice

Very pleased. Bought it for nostalgic reasons. It’s a soft ivory color, not overly fluffy. It washed and dried (in the dryer) well and without shrinkage. It looks and feels like the old fashioned ones I was used to as a child in the UK. It’s thin but feels well made.. perfect for summer.Easy to handle, easy to clean and looks simple and classy .
