Bought for the tin, fell in love with the cookies!
I found these cookies when I was searching Amazon for cookie tins to use when shipping some treats to a friend and was surprised to find a tin filled with cookies for around the same price as an empty tin, took a chance and ordered a few for my care package. The tins arrived in perfect condition except for one thing: they were filled with cookies and I needed empty tins. Solution? Try a few and see what they're like since I really only ordered them for the tins anyway, right?Wrong! I'll tell you what, these cookies are so delicious I'm embarrassed to admit that I've pretty much eaten them all instead of storing all the cookies in zip bags for when I want a sweet treat. Nope, didn't work out that way because I've been gobbling them up like a ravenous cookie monster. Not my best effort in restraint but it is what it is.The cookies are buttery, not overly sweet, light in taste and texture. These aren't chewy cookies by any means, wasn't expecting them to be, but they are perfect as an accompaniment to an afternoon tea or coffee break. All of the cookies have a similar taste with slight variations, some being more vanilla forward, others more crispy or tender, one with coconut (probably my favorite!) One thing I absolutely love about these cookies beside the taste is that all the ingredients are recognizable to me, no PhD in chemistry required! The calories are reasonable if you eat them in moderation (unlike me) with a serving size of 4 cookies totaling 170 calories or around 43 calories each. Another thing I love about them is that they're relatively low in sugar at 9 grams per serving which is less than many breakfast cereals on the shelves. On the down side they are high in saturated fat, 28% of the recommended daily intake according the the nutrition label that I just read, something I wish I knew before I gobbled up so many of them but I'll remember for future reference next time I'm tempted to overindulge.Long story longer: I came for the tin and fell in love with the cookie! If you like butter cookies, you'll probably enjoy these as much as I did.

Classic Danish Butter Cookies – A Delicious Treat for Any Occasion
I absolutely love these Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies! They have the perfect balance of buttery crispiness, with a rich flavor that melts in your mouth. The assortment includes five distinct shapes, each with its own unique texture and taste—some with a hint of vanilla or coconut, while others have that classic buttery goodness with a light sugar crunch. One of the best things about these cookies is their freshness. Every time I open the tin, they taste as if they were just baked. Plus, they’re non-GMO with no artificial ingredients, preservatives, or colors, which makes me appreciate them even more. They pair perfectly with a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, making them a comforting treat, especially during the holidays.I also love the iconic blue tin—it’s not just great for keeping the cookies fresh but also makes for a perfect gift. It’s a holiday staple in my house, and I always grab an extra tin or two to share with family and friends. However, I have occasionally received tins with broken cookies or minor dents, which is a little disappointing. That said, it doesn’t take away from the delicious taste or the great value—you get a generous amount of cookies for the price. If you’re a fan of classic butter cookies, this is a must-have. A timeless treat that never disappoints!

Great staple
These cookies are a staple. I remember them as containers for knitting equipment when I was a kid and as an adult, I can actually taste the cookies. Since I have free will, and I can buy them on my own. And you know what’s great as well, they are so cheap but they taste so great that they’re worth the buy every single time. I love the taste of these cookies. I’ve had knock off versions and they are not the same and they’re more expensive for some reason. These are top quality cookies and I love them so much and I will continue to buy them. I bought two very recently one for myself which I’ve almost completely demolished already and I bought the second one for my mom to give her a little Easter treat.

am I the only person feeling like this???
I'm a little confused. Probably, butter cookies sold for my entire 56 years of life sold in there signature round tin cans , repurposed for any of millions of different uses and l mean good, and nessesary uses, why hasn't any of the super sized cookie companies like Nabisco or keebler or even chip a hoy try swapping the landfill stuffer there packaging has contributed to filling the garbage dumps all over the world 🌎to strictly reusable tin cans. A lot of what I've seen in my lifetime that has seemed to been accidental and yet the millions of metric tons of garbage produced mostly by the top 50 cookie companies have ignored the obvious. Thanks to such bulligerant ignoreance, laws should be paced that if your product can be packaged in reusable, repurposed metal tin cans then , force them to switch to tin cans.

Still a beloved classic
Growing up, these Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies were a seasonal staple in our home—especially around Christmas. They were a treat we looked forward to every year, and opening that iconic blue tin always felt like the start of the holidays.Even now, they remain a well-loved favorite. The buttery, lightly sweet flavor is just as delicious as I remember. The nostalgic value alone makes them worth it.That said, this particular tin had more cookies on the pale side than I’m used to. I prefer mine baked with that classic golden-brown tint, which gives them a bit more crispness and flavor. These looked a little underdone, almost white in some cases, though thankfully the taste still didn’t disappoint.
