Definitely waterproof
The foam that goes inside is soft and easy to remove for cleaning. I bought two of these for my puppy. She is deaf and came to me at 6 months old completely untrained. She also suffers from neurological problems. The people before me were trying to housebreak her with pads (thank goodness they had failed at that!) and she they were not taking her outside. They told me she was crate trained, but she was not. At first, she would mess in her crate, so I bought two of these, so we could have a clean one while the other one was being cleaned. These are great. I found the best was to clean them was to hose them down and then remove the cover to allow it to dry. I like the fact that when she pees on it, the pee runs off and goes underneath onto the underside, so she is not sitting in her mess (she rarely has an accident now, but when she did she wasn't stuck sitting in it). These are a bit of a challenge to through through the washing machine due to them being water repellent! I guess hand washing works best? I spray them off with hot water in the shower or outside, depending on the mess.

Amazingly good quality crate pad for the price!
We have a 5 1/2 month old Old English Bulldogge (OEB) who attacked and shredded her expensive memory-foam crate pad a few weeks back. She's a chewer and tends to chew things to pieces so we decided to get her a Nylabone Dura Chew Textured Toy, Bacon Flavored Bone (works!) and just put a doggie blankie in with her. But as she's growing, and she's in her crate a couple of hours, she needed something to soften her 'den' floor. I saw this pad and decided to get it since the price wasn't outrageous, and we hoped that with her Nylabone, she wouldn't go after the pad.Well, it's been two days and three nights and it's still intact! In fact, she looks *very* happy on her new crate pad and I don't see her going after the pad now.I would definitely recommend a durable chew if your dog is a chewer. This will help distract them from the pad (and everything else!) within reach.I'm very happy with this purchase and so is our Emily!

Great for outside use
I am writing this based on first impressions.I rate 3 stars on chew proof because i don't know if it is fully chew proof or not. It doesn't seem like a fabric that would be chew proof though. and honestly, i don't think there really is anything that is perfectly chew proof lol. This is a material that is incredibly easy to clean so im happy with that.Additionally this isn't a soft bed. It isn't meant to be soft lol. I could tell that from the description of the object. However, this is perfect for outside use for our inside/outside dog. I've placed it in her dog house so it is easy to clean and gives her a nice place to lay when she spends time outside.

Good for the price.
Good durable denier, stitched well. Foam is very light density. Vacuums clean.Good for the price and appears to be a little larger than the specs which is great. I wouldn’t mind paying a few extra dollars for higher density foam.I took the dogs Brittanys, on an extended road trip and they enjoyed it better than the rubberized mats in their crates. My two year old didn’t didn’t attempt to chew on it. Both dogs scratched them when trying to get comfortable like they normally do and there’s no sign of causing any harm to the covers.Again they are very light and a bit too soft so I used some work out foam rubber under the pads for added comfort. I would definitely buy them again.

Good basic pad.
Got this for my 10 month old, 40lb Aussie Cattle Dog/GSD mix, Chewie. He's a bit of a chewer but hasn't even started to attack this thing even after a month. It's a perfect fit for our Top Paw Double Door Dog Crate (36"L x 23" W x 25" H). It was shipped to me folded in half but after sitting in the crate for a day, the crease is gone.If I had to describe it, I'd say it's somewhere between a crate pad and a bed.The foam is somewhere between low- and medium-density. It's not memory foam and doesn't make any orthopedic claims so I'm judging it as though it were a simple cushion to provide added comfort to the hard plastic crate pan. Given the positions he sleeps in outside of the crate, I'm not overly concerned about my dog's spinal alignment or orthopedic support so this pad is perfect. The cover is basic polyester canvas (think basic Targus laptop bags) which is durable and easy to clean. That said, as at least one other reviewer noted: it's not very quiet. Run your finger nails over any canvas-type weave and you'll know what I mean. It's quieter than the textured plastic crate pan but not by much. You'll definitely hear it if your dog does a little nesting in the middle of the night. All in all, I have no complaints about this basic ~$30 pad especially when you consider that PetSmart sells KONG branded items with similar construction for $20 MORE.

Solid
I like this bed. It’s just as promised. It’s a solid rectangular pad with a good waterproof cover. I use it for the outside when my dogs decide to sunbathe. Easy to hose off or clean. Follow their sizing guide though, because their large is more for a medium dog.

My dogs favorite mat
over all the beds i have in the house, my dog prefers this one and I don't know why., maybe it's because it isn't too hot for her while she lays on it., it must have just the right amount of cushion for her!

36x24 is perfect size for my Husky mix
I got the 36x24 and it's the perfect size for my 50-pound Husky mix. Even the cat loves this mat. It's not too fluffy, which is good, because my dog's a tripawd and fluffy is harder for them to maneuver on. It is kind of loud, must be the waterproof-ness of it. A small price to pay for something everybody loves.

Dog bed
I was concerned it would be too small for my dogs crate but i was very wrong. The crate had originally come with a think lambswool bed which my beloved pet ripped to shreds. This is much more comfortable and so far has resisted my dog's scratching it and attempts to rip it. I would certainly recommend.

Save your money
It was very thin and l had to buy cushions to put underneath which defeated the whole point seems waterproof and stitching not great

Dog bedding
Not as thick as I would have liked, also not as soft. But it does the job.

Not suited for digging dogs
The bed was for our 2yo ACD/ German Sheppard Mix sadly he tore it apart in just a few days. He likes to dig when settling down to find a comfortable spot but the bed did not hold up to this.
