Samsonite Luggage Cruisair Bold Spinner Bag, Silver, 26

I purchased a Victorinox spinner and this one to compare and there was no comparison. This was sturdy with sturdy hardware while the Victorinox was flimsy and the lock malfunctioned. Because we liked it so much, we bought a smaller one to use for shorter trips for my husband.This takes Samsonite back to when they used to make quality luggage. Well made and looks good to boot.One complaint: airline stickers leave adhesive residue.

Not as rigid as I expected but very secure product. Case was dented from ruff baggage handling The locking system is great and highly recommend for international travelers

We bought four of these suitcases in varying sizes. The two carry-on size are doing all right so far, probably because they are carry ons and not subjected to normal baggage handling. The two larger suitcases, one 26" and one 29", have both failed although they are quite new. In both cases, the hard shell cracks and breaks around one of the wheel wells, so it isn't a matter of replacing a wheel – the entire supporting structure for the wheel mount is Kaput. This happens about the first time one of these slides wheels first down a carousel.

One of the wheels broke off after my very first flight. Don't get trapped with "10-year global guarantee" because detailed instructions say Samsonite only cover manufacturer's defects. That, worsened with my actual location, means that I'll have to ship the luggage to somewhere, which might cost about $50, for the repair center to determine whether Samsonite will cover the cost of repair or not. For that amount of shipping cost, I can add a bit more to buy another luggage which will be way cheaper and can't be worse than breaking off after the first flight.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the look is cool and sturdy, and the wheels ran smoothly (before breaking off)

Decent mobility and OK handle but luggage doesn't seem very sturdy. Average value for median price. Weekly travelers may want something better.

If you are looking for a sturdy case that it tough, you have found it. Perfect for keeping your luggage secure and stopping the dreaded bed bugs from trying to hitch a ride from your hotel, should you have the misfortune. It seals perfectly and extremely durable and light weight. I loved this case so much I am ordering a second one.

Just recently had its first trip through the checked baggage and so far so good overall it withstood all the beatings however the only problem and it was a concern and I figured as much is that it will get scratched easily as the paint material is not made to be scratch resistant.I got the silver, and the suit case looks AMAZING! Everyone loves it and I like the no zipper factor it is a great idea. My only problem as I stated above is upon returning from my trip (twice being checked JFK-SEA and then Cruise ship and then SEA - JFK) there are some visible scuffs and scratches. I feel after 3-4 more trips the suitcase will look tired. However as long as it is durable, tired is ok. I will keep updating my reviews on this bag as I use it more over the next few months.
