Brilliant design, extends life of pump
Little Giant could have shipped their pumps with durable brass connectors, but at some point they would have over-taxed and cracked the pump housings.A replaceable plastic adaptor was a much better choice. At some point the threads indeed will get cheesed by the brass hose end, but then the adaptor can be replaced at minimal expense.I have had my pump for over five years out in the West Texas sun, and it still works like a champ, despite all the muck I run through it. I have been through a number of hose adaptors, which is a modest price to pay for extending the life of the pump. I consider them to be a consumable item, like brake pads.

If that's the fitting you need, it's a good fitting!
You sometimes need to attach a garden hose to something that uses a pipe thread. This item is as described. Make sure you know what size you need first!

They do not ship the correct parts - avoid Little Giant
Pictured above on the right is the LittleGIANT GH-1/2 garden hose adapter that I have ordered twice through Amazon and once thru EBay. On the left is what LittleGiant packaged, and what both vendors shipped. In all 3 cases I received the LG adapter labeled as GH-1/2, and in all 3 cases the packed contains the GH-3/4 female adapter.Attempts to contact LittleGIANT have failed. Avoid this company as their packaging has gone down the drain. Forget ordering parts - they can't/won't handle it.

Solution for 1 inch water displacement pumps
If you are using a small 1 inch gas pump with a male cam lock discharge fitting you can use this adapter and a female cam lock connector to connect your garden hose to the pump rather than the typical flat discharge hose. The flat hose works poorly in near freezing weather, impedes flow and can be difficult to route without introducing kinks in the line. The garden hose has none of these problems and can have a longer run.

Perfect fit for garden hose
Product took a little while to arrive but fit just as described. Used to connect a regular sized garden hose to a water transfer pump having a 1inch connection.
