A great waste can!
This can has two compartments, so we have spaces for trash and comingle recycled items. It's easy to use and tall enough to hold quite a bit before it needs to be emptied. It looks great in the kitchen and we're glad we bought it. Yep - we'd recommend it to you if you're in need of such a container.

Reliable!
I bought this trash can 2 years ago when I first bought my house. I had to come back and review this because it is still holding strong! Everything still looks and works the same as when I first got it. If you wipe it down with cleaning/disinfectant spray it will look just like new. It’s a good size and it work perfect for my family of 5. The two can is perfect for recycling and helps save us a lot of time by having to take the trash out as frequently because of boxes, bottles, etc. this was definitely a great purchase.

Love a Dual Compartment!!!
Good size! Love having 2 removable cans in 1, & the green bin is clearly recycle so no need to label the outside of the can or let guests know. Soft close is good for baby fingers, already tested lol. I love the flush lid because my cat would get into our last trash can, we had to put a child lock on before we even had a child. It came with a small thing of trash bags, but for now we're gonna use the 13gal Glad bags we have until we run out & try out the EKO bags after.

Great bin. Looks awesome. Lids are not “soft close”. *UPDATE*: THEY ARE!
Just got this dual bin. I luckily didn’t get one with dents or damage. However, neither of the two lids are soft close, as they say in the descriptions and images all throughout the listing. The lids open fine, but once you step off the pedals, they come crashing back down and make a ton of noise. The soft close feature was one of the important reasons why I chose this bin versus others. I’m pretty disappointed that they lie about this function.*UPDATE*Turns out, the lids ARE soft close. The issue is that the mechanisms that make the lids close kept falling out of place, so the lids just clunked closed. I went in and reset them and they started closing softly as they should. However, the left side (the bigger bin) started crashing to a close the following day. I realized that there is a bit of a flaw in their design. The small hydraulic piston thing that is what slows the lid is supposed to be pressed against a very small platform. That piston kept slipping past the edges of the platform. My solution was to fashion a bit of a cap for that platform, keeping the piston from slipping past the edge and failing to stop the lid. Worked perfectly. I made it using some plastic and tape.4/5 stars because the trash bin is nice, well built. Would be 5/5, but for the price (which I think is quite high), having such a design flaw is disappointing. It should be fool proof.

Worth the splurge! But also easy to overload in my opinion.
The media could not be loaded. As an adult that was well past the age that hanging a trash bag off a drawer was even remotely acceptable, and having no good place for my la croix and Diet Coke cans like the basic b I am. I finally set out to find a proper trash can.I was LOSING MY MIND over finding a trash can that was up to my unjustly bourgeois standards but wouldn’t cost $40000000000000 dollars…looking at you Simplehuman… sidebar, why are trash cans so expensive? Like I’m in the wrong field, I need that TRASH CAN MONEY HONAAYYYY!I digress… I was still annoyed at how much it cost but it was what I wanted: a cute, covered place for my trash, and cans/bottles! So I bowed down to to the machine that is consumerism and bought it! Boy oh boy am I happy I took a chance on this shiny hunk of metal and plastic!!Pros:I have never wiped finger prints off of it since I bought it months agoKeeps gross smells in (for the most part) and my pup outWell made, sturdyKeeps my cans and trash organizedLock feature works like a charm… unless you get pepper seeds in it and don’t notice until you’re making a review video… ahemStep lever is sturdy, smooth close is Barry white smooth, and the bins are easy to take out!Cons:TLDR: easy to overload, therefore can’t use compostable trash bags. That’s more the eco trash bags’ problem though. The trash bin is tall and and not super wide, comparatively. Which means it can be somewhat easy to overload, or shove trash in too tightly, which then makes it hard to pull the bag out and can causes the bag to rip.So You can’t be totally lazy and just keep shoving the trash down and compacting it. I’d say low to moderate shoving down/laziness is okay. Also due to the dimensions, heftier trash bags are needed, in my opinion. Because the diameter of the apex of the weight of the trash is smaller, and therefore creates more concentrated force…. Rather than shorter fatter trash cans that more evenly distribute the weight/pressure on the bag and causes less ripping. Think of trying to poking a hole with a needle versus a baseball bat….. ya know?Which leads me to another con: I can’t use my eco friendly bags bc they are too thin, nor can I put more in the trash to cut down on the amount of bags I use, so I am bummed in that department bc if I can’t gloat about my compostable trash bags, who even am I? But really that’s the eco trash bags’ problem.Alright so anyway…. Besides that last bit… 1000% recommend this cute, well built, bougie on a budget trash can!(Even though it may or may not want to see the earth burn. Like… idk.. but I’m just sayin’! I think it has good intentions and has a good heart but definitely shady in that department. Would not trust at a Phish concert.)

The Perfect Trash Can—Stylish, Functional, and Slam-Free!
The media could not be loaded. I spent a lot of time researching before landing on this trash can, and let me tell you—it’s perfect! The dual compartments make it easy to separate trash and recycling, and everything stays neatly hidden away. The step pedal is smooth and gently closes the lid without that annoying SLAM. Plus, the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel actually works—no smudges, no constant wiping. If you're looking for a sleek, functional, and well-designed trash can, this is it!
