This is a very well written book. It uses documented facts instead of the authors "Personal Opinion". It DOES need to be updated. Instead of christians minds evolving with FACTS they cling tightly to DOGMA & DISMISS anything that threatens that crap! They choose to remain ignorant and mentally unevolved!? To put it another way, they NEED their scape goat SATAN to blame. Their "god" would become useless and pointless, if he was not needed to "Save Their Souls" 24/7! from Satan.This book was written by an author with a very sane mind. He does NOT resort to old or new anything (Mythology or Tales!". He researched and the book reflects that. He presents the research and it is up to you to decide if Satan exists or not. This Biography is wonderful. A very enlightening read and educating yourself as to how all of this began. Buy it, read it, share it with everyone. You will be pleased.

For all the people out there who are inundated with God and his Kingdom, I am sure you have overlooked the adversary. But you should study the evolution of the devil and you will be amazed. This book is outdated, but relevant in the sense that the bible is relevant. The main point of the book is that the doctrine of eternal punishment awaits those who are unbelievers in this particular god. This doctrine has been the driving force of Christianity for centuries. You will also learn that the devil is absent for the ancient Hebrew bible. All weal and woe was attributed to god. The devil was invented later to remove the evil from god to a distinct being separate from god. I highly recommend this book.

Great Primer on the invention of Hell and Satan. There is no Hell in the old testament and the new testament only mentions hell 13 times but there are 3 different greek words that are translated as hell and they all mean different things. What they DON"T mean is the doctrine of hell that we have been brainwashed into believing. Must read for every born again christian.

This book is freaking incredible! So informative. Tons of sources for nearly endless hours of further research. It will change your view of the devil and Hell. Realize it’s nothing more than myth and legend.

A must read if you want to know where the so called Devil comes from. Mr. Graves keeps it real. All the ammo you need to dispel the myth!

It is quite clear to me that the author is anti-God. And anti-religious as well. This book is VERY misleading in my opinion. It is for people who don't want to believe in God so they can do as they please, if there is no Satan there is no God it is that simple. Well there is a GOD and there IS a Satan and he has influenced you all when you read this book and more importantly the author is his follower. READERS BEWARE you will be misled by his "facts"!!!
