Get em while they're a deal! ***update*** mine tore - NOT HEAVY DUTY!
I got these for $55 shipped and they arrived exactly the color shown, and the size was exactly true. I expected them to come dark brown, but these are light, and look like they've been worn in for a year or so (a good thing IMO). These look better than Carhart versions of same; the overall design, pockets etc. just look a bit better (...although Carharts are less expensive). These are rugged looking/feeling, and supposedly made for outdoor use and I got mine for just that. However, I cannot rate their ruggedness (yet), but will do so in the future. These look good on, and are fairly comfortable considering they are canvas/polyester feeling pant - they are actuall spun cotton (they wear stiffer-feel than jeans). So, these are made for outdoor use, and throwing long-underwear underneath when needed. So, I recommend getting them a size too big so you can do that (if you need). They are also boot cut, so no worries for larger hunting boots; and the belt loops are large for fat belts. They make other colors, if you don't like light brown, but these were much less expensive than the other colors. Fish/Hunt/Yard/Work/camp - you get the point. These are not a summer pant.********OH NO!!!! On the second day I wore these, mine ripped while taking a lunge-step upward on a bass boat - I stepped upward over a tackle bag from the seats to the front deck (about 3 feet by 18 inches up). The crotch simply blew out (long ways); My pants ripped from nearly the top of the zipper, almost to the knee.. . *#$%%@! I even bought the pants a size too big so I could wear them with long underwear, or just move about better in the woods etc. They should NOT have ripped. If you're an active person, or a bigger legged person etc - then, forget wearing these for any athletic type movement - they will split on you and are NOT reliable. If you're out raking leaves or shoveling snow on your driveway, they will work good for that and other casual outdoor stuff. I expect my gear, and clothing to perform when I need it most. These pants failed (epic-ly), where I think a regular pair of blue jeans wouldn't have. Reason: I think the fabric is stiff, and this is why it tore like it did. Instead of stretching, it ripped. I got another pair sent to me b/c I like they way they look/feel on, and will use them for less rugged activity, but that's kinda why I got them in the first place. They are light to mid duty, but heavy duty - nope. I called Amazon, and they said they would email me a lable to ship the defective pants back. They said I'd get a credit once they got the pants. I would never, ever pay full price for these pants - they are worth about $30 and no more. They are made in Cambodia, and whoever designed them clearly didn't carefully select the fabric for mountain use - seriously. When I think of the word Mountain, I think rugged conditions. Mine ripped on boat on a lake.. Ha! I know that my re-purchase of these pants contradicts my review a bit, but I do like these pants; they're different that the usual Carharts you see around the campsite. They also are rugged, but not for heavy duty use. If you run, jump, or frolick through the bush/rocks/woods. These may not be for you unless you're a really skinny person (whereby the pants can give a bit).

Double knees are good on occasion.
I've always worn Carhartt type pants for work and leisure and have had one complaint. When you sit down they are a little too tight for comfort in your "nether regions". These MK's solve that problem with a good dose of crotch gusseting. I absolutely love the fit especially when sitting. The weight of the fabric is perfect too. Just heavy enough to ward off thorns, branches, and the like, but light enough to not be heavy when the going gets tough and your steaming them up. I like double knee pants for days when I'm going to be working around a lot of brush or anything abrasive but I don't really like wearing these on normal office days. They look a little less classy than the OMP's and the seam on the back of the leg for the double knee rubs your leg in an annoying fashion. So far (about 5 washes) the color seems to be holding up okay but I expect them to fade like Carhartts. I like the "5th" pocket idea because I can keep cash in it without worry of accidentally pulling it out while reaching for my keys or something else in the main pocket. The "tool" pocket on the right leg of these pants is basically useless. The flap above it keeps you from being able to get anything other than a pen/pencil into it and if you put something small (like a folded VW key) in it you will be digging for a while to get it back out. If they left the top open it would be perfect for a phone or the like. Length is a little short compared to most pants. I'm 6'4" and usually wear a 34" length but have to have a 36" in these to keep from wading in the high water.

Best. Pants. Ever. Durable and Comfortable.
I have taken a real shine to the Mountain Khaki line of relaxed fit items. The Alpine Utility pants are what I consider the flagship of durability and comfort, followed by the field pants, followed by the teton twill pants. I am not a MK salesman nor paid for a review. Actually, I was sick of my pants falling apart after 6 months and wanted to find a fit I like and order a bunch of them. I ordered all the big name brands in my size as well as a pair of MK Teton Twill because it was on sale in the amazon warehouse (Their normal price I considered too high to purchase). I tried them all on, and the MK pair was the winner in all areas: Comfort, Style, Durability, Quality. The only loser may be price... I am going to further sound like I was paid to write this, but you deserve the truth. The twill weave is obviously stronger than normal khaki weaves. The relaxed fit gusset make these pants a luxury lounging item. The reinforced cuffs are a perfect touch in making them feel more durable than other brands. The pockets are durable and have an ergonomic feel to them. The TRIPLE STITCHING around all load bearing seams make this product far superior! The coconut buttons seem silly, but they are quite endearing. Additionally, the zipper is even highly durable and of a significant higher quality than all the other brands. I am a sensible guy but I never realized I could become so in love with a pair of pants. The Teton Twill is sensible enough for office workThe Field Pants are two tone odd colors...best for days off or actual hunting or workingThe Alpine utility are best for rough work or a blue collar work job.All incredibly comfortable and durable. Best. Pants. Ever.
