Trunki Paddlepak Water-resistant Backpack - Chuckles the Clownfish (Orange)

We have two of these bags from amazon - the green frog and yellow spike fish. My 4 and 5 year olds have the same issue as other users with the buckles opening too easily or whilst being carried. I understand that the manufacturer wants it easy enough for small hands to open independently, but it is primarily a bag and needs to hold things securely inside it. We've tried to widen the plastic clip/teeth a little so that the grip when buckled is tighter, but that doesn't work for more than the next three or so "clicks". Otherwise, the bag is very attractive, the night-time reflectors are a nice touch, and it's thin enough that it's light and soft. If, however, you put anything sharp or dense (like an iPad) in it, it may tear and certainly wouldn't offer much in the way of protection. Trunki can improve on its design with a single handle at the top (for parents to grab), perhaps double line the interior with a mesh for better ventilation and strength, and improve the quality of its buckles.

The backpacks are downright ADORABLE! Heck....I want one!!! They looked a bit small to me at first but then I started stuffing them with gifts I have been buying for my grandkids and the bags hold lots more than realized! A towel? Not sure of that yet --- but oh so cute and really just the size for a wee one!!!! For them, the backpacks will seem 'big' and that is what we should be considering as Trunki Paddlepak already has.....any bigger and the kids would be falling over or backwards! Perfectly sized for them! (I'm 5'1 and even I could get away w/one on my back....!)

My 3 yr old son loves this memo backpack and it made him excited for preschool! Would have given it 5 stars but a little unsure about the design of the buckle closure. You roll it down and then you buckle it but the buckle sticks out in a slightly off way. I'd say that's more of an aesthetic issue but functionally and the rest of it is great! Would buy again!

Bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter. She loves it, it's lightweight and easy for her to get off and on.

First I should say that we have gotten TONS of compliments on this bag, everyone asks where we found it and their kids want it.WE have had this backpack for about a year and it is still in perfect condition (noting that we are really rough on everything we own). It can be easily washed and holds everything that a 2-3 year old might need. It isn't great for big books, but is perfect for extra snacks, drinks, clothing, toys and small books. We will most likely get one of the bigger paks at some point.
