Based on many reviews I read before I purchased these shoes, I was very nervous as to what I might receive, how much bigger they would be than the size I ordered, and of course, the smell. Well, I received them today, braced myself as I opened the package, and was very relieved with what I found. There was hardly any smell at all, no need for a respirator as some suggested. Just smelled like brand new shoes to me. Nothing at all like the horror stories I had read in the reviews. I mean, there was some exaggerated drama from some of you about the smell.When I took the shoe out of it's included dust bag, it looked like they could possibly be a little large, (I wear 9.5 - 10.....ordered size 9 in these), tried them on and...........perfect fit!!I never thought I would wear this style shoe, but something about the looked lured me in and I love them. The quality of the shoes seems to be very good. I don't know how long they will last, but I won't be wearing them everyday, and if I get six, eight, or twelve months out of them, then it is a win for me. The only thing I will do is change the shoestrings from the included beige color to a dark grey or black. I just think that will look better for me.Look, I spent 20.00 on these and it may be the best 20.00 I've ever spent.If I can remember, and if I have time, I'll update this review after I've had them for a while.But for now, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate recommending these shoes at all. Love the look of these shoes, they fit a little narrow, but over all appearance is on point.

These shoes were very cool looking! Unfortunately, they were too narrow for my son's foot. They smelled very strongly (mothballs?) at first, but quickly dissipated when aired out. Would have definitely kept if they had fit comfortably.

Let's start off with the biggest complaint everyone has, the smell. Yes, it's very strong, but over time it does start to dissipate. I have had these for a number of weeks and have maybe worn them 6 times. They still have the smell, but it's not as strong. Plus, nobody in my office (even in my first week) complained that they noticed a smell. I recommend airing them out for a while and wearing them also helps alleviate the smell.Now, onto the shoes themselves. These are surprisingly very comfortable. They are just as comfortable as the shoes I have that cost me over $100. They look great and every time I wear them I get compliments on them. I like the gray pair so much that I am going to get the tan pair and even another pair that is a different model (19312 if you're curious instead of 19266).These shoes are cut a bit big. I wouldn't say one full size, but probably a half size. I usually wear a 10-10 1/2 depending on the cut leaning more often toward 10 1/2. I got these in the 10 and they fit great. I think if I had gone with 9 1/2 they would have been too tight.

I am a 12, I wear a size 12 in every shoe I have ever worn. The information suggested that I purchase a size different than my normal size. Unfortunately the 12s were on Prime and the others were not, so I ordered the 12s, figuring that if I needed to return them, it will be much simpler.The shoes are snug, but they fit fine. The toe box isn't cramped, the sides just feel a bit tight. After wearing them for a few hours, they loosened up a bit and felt fine.These shoes had the worst smell when they arrived, a very strong chemical odor. It was much worse than any other shoe I have ever purchased. I literally let them air out for 10 days. The first day I wore them I could still smell the chemical odor. The odor is the only reason that I am giving these shoes 4 stars, and not 5 stars. I'm sure at some point it will vanish completely, but it hasn't yet. (I'm not someone who is particularly adverse to chemical odors, if you are, I would strongly consider avoiding these).

Received shoes very quickly. Yes...there is a slight manufacturing smell. Similar to a new car smell when you purchase a new car. I didn't find it that overpowering. Leave the shoes out on a covered porch for a few days and the smell will disappear. As for the size... I usually wear a men's size 12 Medium-Wide in a dress shoe. I ordered this shoe (Ferros) in a size 11 and compared it to 2 pairs of Nunn Bush Dress Flex shoes I use. The Ferros are the exact same size as my Nunn Bush size 12s (comfy fit). The Ferros are about .5 inches longer than the 11.5 Nunn Bush (snug fit) Dress Flex that I own. The size 12 Nunn Bush Dress Flex are a wide fit, and the Ferros are the same width and length. So I would say, yes - order the shoe one size larger than you normally would (at least around the size 11 area). I took some pictures of the differences and will try to post them if possible. The first 2 photos show the Ferros (size 11) up against my 11.5 Nunn Bush shoes. The second 2 photos show the Ferros (size 11) against my size 12 Nunn Bush Dress Flex. The fit of these shoes are great - and at an unbelievable price. The Ferros did come with cream colored laces (as if they need something extra to stand out), which I immediately replaced with a dark brown (30 in) lace.

I returned these because I didn't think they suited me.
